Huge loss it will be interesting to see what direction Flanno goes to replace him.

Bloody hell! I thought one more year out of Ennis would have transitioned us nicely. We are really going to miss his leadership, short Grubbers in goal for a repeat set and he's authority and discriminative passing out of dummy half.

Mick will be a superstar on tv/radio when you look at the amount of braindead wankers that are on every football show at the moment

He will. He speaks intelligently but needs to learn to make his point a bit more succinctly. He sometimes forgets he has a limited time segment on NRL 360 and you can see Ikin getting frustrated and trying to move things along.

While this is not a good thing for 2017 I only see it as a positive thing for this year. Every player in that squad will want to win this thing for Mick (as well as Gal perhaps) and will ensure complete motivation for the coming weeks.

wow didnt see that coming.

but good on him, master of his trade. and retire playing in a finals series in a red hot team (GF or not), and hasnt tried to play beyond his worth. although i wish he would of stayed one more season.

nu will have a spring in his step today.

I do like the idea that we can offer Nu a position in the run on side. He would make a great hooker and another skilled player on the field. The pout and all.

Shocking. But this does mean we will be a lot more likely to keep Nu. Hopefully this gives the team more motivation to send out Mick a winner.

Shocked to read this tbh. Playing as well over the past two years as he ever has, if not better. Very disappointed he won't be with us for another year.

maybe he is just as confident as you and I are that we will win the comp this year and he wants to retire a winner haha

Tbh if we win the comp this year I won't give a **** that he's retiring
