I'll go further without Ennis we finish 12 to 16 again

Agree. He improved the attack virtually on his own. More try assists than the halves combined says it all. Not to mention leadership and professionalism.

There were heaps of people on twitter last night blowing up about Ennis. Saying how the **** did he get it, he is garbage. Obviously didnt watch any of our games.

I think there was probably 3 or 4 games that he basically controlled the outcome, then plenty of others he had a starring role in.

Without this guy, we never made the top 8. We need to keep this guy around beyond his playing days, he has a great knowledge of the sport, he would work well with our up and comers. Id go as far as saying he could go and be an assistant NRL coach, and later a Head Coach. He has his head screwed on thats for sure

That's just opposition fans. To them he is just a super pest.

I was the same, I never really took notice of his game until he signed with us.

I always did. Back to his saints days. Always a good player. And always enjoyed listening to him on fox either commentating or on the talk shows

Without doubt Ennis made a huge difference to our team in so many ways. I think our couching staff should give him a bonus for the footy savvy he gave us this year

rubbish article. one second the media is complaining how NRL teams sign players for 2017 prior to this season even starting. Now they bag the sharks out for not resigning a 31 year old hooker for 2017 when 2016 hasnt even begun yet

He is in his 30's yet to play 2016 season so we don't know how he will even hold up in 2016 let alone 2017.

Fact is if ennis wants to play in 2017 and he is performing in 2016 we will wrap a new deal pretty easily makes no sense for sharks to move now

"Several"?! Yeah I'd like him here in 2017, maybe even 2018, but several!! I think they have "a few" and ""several" mixed up.

I can't see the rush. If he's good to go around again I'm sure we'll be happy to accomodate. He's got a healthy media career ready to be beefed up the moment he retires so I doubt he's likely to up-root his family in a season's time for one last pay day elsewhere.
