Remember the uproar amongst Easts fans when they decided not to re-sign Ricketson? Sometimes you have to be cruel to be successful.

yeah but you're talking Ennis who had a fantastic year for us. If you were talking about Gallen I'd be with you on that one.

If we are to replace Ennis with someone it needs to be an upgrade or equal, simple. Segy comes to mind obviously but outside of that who else would you want apart from Ennis that's available ?

Segy would be the only one I can think of. You're right, Ennis was unbelievable last year but he'll be 33 at the start of 2017. If we can't land Segy then don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Ennis for another year if his form stays up.

As good as Ennis has been for us last year, and hopefully he continues it into the future, the Segyaro situation makes it interesting.

He and Wade especially are great mates, and that could be a good little enticer, being he could be club captain next year.

If only there was the space in the cap to have Ennis and Segyaro here next year, then Segyaro take the reigns in 2018. I guess 1 attribute Ennis holds that is important is his leadership, and it will only help any developing 9's we have coming through.

I do see Flanno straight up extending Ennis without testing whats on the market though

I have little doubt about that unfortunately.

Does anyone know if Ennis has any coaching aspirations. I think he would be a huge asset to have is tick around the club post playing days

Rekon he might, but a nice media gig would over ride his short term aspiration, especially if fox are having a 24:7 dedicated channel after this season, rekon he could host a show easy.
