Is good depth. The type of guy worth keeping on close to minimum wage. Been around long enough to do a job, which comes in handy.
He can play all backline positions, should keep him around and I’m for promoting juniors and talent more than most people but sometimes you just need that experienced depth player to fill in

A Sharks supporter on Reddit claims we have signed Hiroti for another year:

“In other Sharks news, Hiroti has signed a 1 year extension to the end of next season. Great depth piece for any top 30. NRL experience, cheap, consistently solid when called upon, won’t hold back junior talent. Love it”

Probably only can cover for Centre in the event of injury. I’m pretty sure Stonestreet will be ahead of him if one of our wingers goes down. We also hopefully will have an injury free Dykes to cover in the backline as well

He can cover a number of positions - has played 1 to 6 in Cup.
Certainly ideally we don't want him playing most of those at an NRL level, but on min wage or perhaps less not bad value to be
3rd to 5th choice centre (Hiroti Vea'ila Dykes)
4th to 6th choice winger (Hiroti Ison Dykes)
4th to 5th choice fullback (Hiroti Taukamo)

Most of those he's ideally not getting near but if he did we'd be bloody glad to have him. Where he sits in those depth charts also fairly dependent how the youngsters listed are coming along. Ideally they all jump him
