This is just my opinion but seriously Matt Moylan can not defend the line very well. 3x against the Warriors he let in a try. I've noticed this in many games that teams are realising that he's Sharks weak link in defense. I personally have no issue about him as a person, but as a sharks supporter I really hope Fitzgibbon really takes a long look at the film and gives someone else a chance. Ideally I'd put Trindall into number 6.

Moyza's gotten too comfortable. His defence seems to regress with job security.

Send him back to the Jets for a couple of games and see if he bounces back.

Welcome aboard Zinger.

He does get caught out quite a lot. But i'm still not sure if it's him, the guys around him or a combination. Hopefully they're looking at all of this in training

The Moylan defence issue is not going to improve alongside both Wilton & Talaki .

Could be... do Wilton and Talakai improve with Trindall in?
Well Moylan misses a lot of tackles … I think he’s 2nd for that stat in our team so most likely the answer is yes

Not sure if it's worth much but Moylan is 14th in the NRL for missed tackles while Trindall is 79th.

Can make a case for Moylan playing two more games which can skew it.

Data is from zerotackle.

trindall also defended right side next to nikora and ramien, 2 blokes who are bang up for their assignments this year

Better defender. so yes
Feels optimistic to assume he stops that 1 on 1 vs Curran, or makes the Niukore one for Wilton.

Average 3.3 missed for his games, Moylan average 4.0 one defending next to a bloke who has made numerous errors, one defending next to arguably our best performer across 5 rounds.

I don't think Trindall is stopping many if any of the tries through that left edge. But that is just as much or a guess as those who say he would.

Watch the Eels game and how Trindall stood Sivo up on the line. The bloke can defend one on one and it’s the safest of safe bets he would defend better than Moylan.

Moylan stopped a prop one on one on the line on Sunday (I remember because it was a surprise).

I'm open to Trindall potentially being a better defender, I'm not convinced he stops any of those tries.

There’s no guarantee he stops them, no. I think we could both agree however he would certainly put more effort in stopping though, and that to me is the key difference.

Mistakes will happen, you can forgive those. A lack of effort is unforgivable.

If the outcome is the same we still need to do something fix it though - but yes I suppose I'd rather see someone beaten who looks like the tried than someone who barely got a hand in there.
