You really think he'll be depth?

He will probably start but that’s fine because he’s playing well enough to start. It’s only a one year deal, gives us time to wait for the right player to become available long term. It’s low risk

How many games has Moylan played this season?

Moylan had played 12 of 14 games in 2021, until sidelined by a calf problem. Prior to his recent injury Moylan played a pivotal role in getting the Sharks season back on track during a four-game winning streak from round 11.

And that's my point, it's bloody disruptive to the team.

Its not fine if he starts next year in my view because I still firmly believe a Moylan/Hynes combo simply wont work. Who’s the primary kicker? If we’re expecting Hynes to do 100% of the kicking thats horribly unfair on him, he barely does any long kicking for Melbourne and just doesn’t seem that style of player, I think we’ll be doing his development a disservice. He needs a primary kicker, or at least someone who can do a fair share of the load, next to him next year. THAT ISN’T MOYLAN.

Bit of a polarising signing this one. Our best bet is to try and get the most out of him this year. If he can start the season strong then we should try to offload and get someone a bit more suitable.

If we can't manage to sign a quality half, then I think you have to have Moylan stay. Even if we did then he's depth. And experience. He's a cheap enough security bet. Otherwise you're banking everything on Trindall. Then Tracey. Then...???

moylan on a one year deal is a cap filler and squad rounder

if we sign brooks, moylan is either the 14 or 18, if we dont, he is either the 6 or 14

2022 wont be the year we win the comp or challenge it, but it is the year that fitz takes over and one of the things he wants is continuity in the team and experience in his first year

IMO it will be a better next year, obviously we won't be challenging the title but I'm thinking maybe 6th position is the highest we will land.

Nrl app has him making a return this week. Will be handy. May only lose by 50.

So apparently we're paying him 400k next year.

Yep, a lot of money for someone who historically misses big chunks of the season. I've never been a fan and would have been happy to see the back of him.
