i hate manly & are enjoying watching their dramas,
hasler & the manly board are presenting 2 different stories.
blaming each other for the clubs dramas.
the truth probually will be in middle some where.
i think the board has caused a lot of their own problems,
but un like other clubs the members do not own the club so
they will be stuck with below par board as members will not be able
to vote in a new board.
all the manly dramas has got to make you happy that the sharks are
not owned by indiviuals but the fans

I hate Manly mostly because they whinge constantly. Even when they win a game they will still have a whinge about something. Plus the whole Stewart saga annoyed me even more.

I liked Brett before the whole rape incident. Not because of the alleging rape (I don't judge until proven guilty) but the way he handled the whole Gallop situation pissed me of and the fact he wasn't sacked by the club like what we had to do with Bird situation, just because it was Brett Stewart.

We wern't made to fire Bird. It was the clubs decision. The only reson Manly didn't stand him down was because he was out injured for the season anyway. The way they carried on with the Gallop stuff is just childish though

yes i agree the nrl did not force us to sack bird, but there was pressure from
sponsors to sack him, this is about the same time we lost LG that at the time
was our major sponsor plus the wave of negative press would have made it
hard to find new ones. So we may not have been forced to sack bird, but still had
little choice.
where as a team like manly did nothing cause there owner & major sponsor was
never going to dump manly like LG did to us.
this is why i think off field dramas should be handled by the nrl,s independent panel
once set up to create a level playing field in this regard.
hard to

also manly was never going to stand him down, he was listed to play
for them before the nrl step & suspended him for 4 weeks i think it was.
