Yeah to be fair though they have 10 bars and 4 tills at each bar with a staff member on every till at all times just on the bottom deck alone. Unless it's origin or a sold out house the lines aren't bad there. The way they do it is the best way though, fill up a massive tray of about 30 beers then everyone can pickup how ever many they want and then line up to pay for said beers.
Yeah it's a fantastic system, would have cost heaps to set it up though. We wouldn't have anywhere we could really set it up without a huge effort.

We don't need that standard because we won't draw those crowds but there is still room for improvement. I have been to far worse grounds than ours for service but any improvement that can be made without massive outlay should be taken on.

Nah, everyone expects the red carpet rolled out
Paying members and fans expect to be able to hand over their hard earned to the club for a simple beverage without missing the game - that is not unreasonable

A freak last minute rush of tickets for a nothing game yea perhaps you couldn't really blame the club but they knew this local derby was close to a sellout for some time in the lead up but just throwing on a few extra bar staff isn't the answer

Are lines for amenities going to keep me from showing up to a home game? Absolutely not
But can it impact my experience of a day out at the footy? Yup and that's something the club says it does care about and wants to improve so complaints are 100% valid

If the game wasn't delayed (assuming by CH9) by 10-15 mins I would have missed kick off for sure despite getting to the ground before 3:30pm

It's all relative though. For example you look at ANZ Stadium, better facilities obviously but a capacity crowd of 75k means you're waiting quite a while for a beer, at least when I've been there anyway. Same deal at our home ground, facilities obviously not as good but crowd capacity is lower. Sure, they should try and improve but there's only so much they can do.

As soon as they banned the esky it became their duty to ensure that refreshments were readily available.

just sell can's no need waiting for some dude to fill up plastic cups with flat beer.

big buckets full of ice. no spillage walking back though the crowd or need for plastic trays.
+ the cans be collected after the game for recycling.

More risk of damage if a can is thrown, you shouldn't have to account for it but you do.

The club was flooded with an avalanche of complaints about game day experience and as such Lyall will be on shark cast TV this week.

Imagine if we lost... Jeez there were some tool dragon supporters sitting in bay 12, If didn't hear drug cheats and zero premierships all afternoon.. And the occasional random swearing including "c" word like a turrets sufferer.

Hope the issues doesn't discourage too many people to head out to our next home game

I can remember there were a tonne of complaints after our first home game last year.

I don't think we have enough facilities to cope with a big crowd. The lack of water was a rookie mistake and although people say it's a big crowd and you should expect to have to line up for a bit but you shouldn't have to line up for 30 minutes to get a beer.

We really need to get on top of this if the club has any hope of trying to attract big crowds every game

I did notice that they set up a couple of other bars around the place on Sunday. Thing is, most people just went straight to the usual spots.

Keep an eye out for the non-permanent smaller bars on the busy days. They are usually much, much quicker.

Yeah there usually seems to be one on Gronk Hill that you get through the line pretty quickly.

I thought it was very good considering the amount of people.

Sweet. I'm coming down for the Titans game so crowd shouldn't be too big. Staying at Cabins and plan on filling up!
