Ok, firstly, I have little issue on a whole with what he has posted here, and it seems genuine enough. I also think the article he wrote is perhaps closer to the mark than any of us would like, though I really, really hope that is not how things pan out.
However.....

Last but not least....when your club is at the centre of one of the most disgraceful episodes in Australian sporting history, you have to expect people to write about it.

Hold on pork chop! Nothing has been proven yet. If danks is the key then manly and essendon have a hell lot more to answer for than we do.
Whilst i dont go for the conspiracy theory I do think there are many who would be glad to see us go, and this combined with the NRL's lack of understanding/support (as opposed to AFL) has certainly not helped.
How the f*** though, u can agree that bombers used x/y/z but were ok, and manly had this program in place for years but are ok, and then say 'oh, sharks did this for 5 or 6 weeks' (which i reiterate is still completely unproven after 6 mths of allegations), and call us rorters (not to mention we did ****house in 2011) you have to be off your ****en rocker. Disgraceful??? see below comment

Should of been placed into a dirty sock...

irrespective of the matter, this is a f***en funny comment in any circumstance, and ill be sure to use it in future.

You don't think the Sharks are at the center of this whole thing? You must be on another planet!

There is a bloody good reason why so many Sharks players are being. There is a reason why your clubs captain has allegedly had his phone seized by customs officials.

Get your head out of the sand. Guilty or innocent, the Sharks are in this up to their ear balls as Laurie Daley would say!

As for "lurking", I was getting hits from this forum which show up in my site stats. I clicked to take a look at what had been posted and saw the idiots I mentioned saying things that needed to be addressed. Don't let that get in the way of the little narrative you built up in your head though....

ZZzzzzz. Why do you feel the need to address faceless "CRAZIES" on the Internet? You have a website to worry about running, instead you come around and start throwing rocks at everyone's mental state & making assumptions that I thought enough into the subject to build up my own little story. That's not how I roll.

I'm not a journalist! Lol

I'll say it again, I saw I was getting visits from this forum, saw a few people here that said they knew who I was, that clearly didnt have an idea who I was, and decided I'd set the record straight.

I had to log in when I read this thread go reply to some of the CRAZIES that have posted about me! Lol

First of all, I don't know who Sharky Pete is. They don't know me. I'm not a Manly supporter.....it's take 30 seconds of following me on Twitter, Facebook or reading my site to KNOW Im the furthest thing from a Manly fan that you will ever find! Lol

Second, someone said I was run off LU forums. What! I just don't post there, or on forums in general, any more. I'm too busy running my own site to spend time writing on forums. Someone's just made up some stupid narrative in their head about me. Very strange!

To the person that said I used to post on Fox Sports....WHAT? I've never posted anything on Fox Sports. I don't even know where you post things on Fox Sports. I don't read the Fox Sports web site. Crazy....

Now to the Panthers....yes they are crap. They are poorly run. They don't win many games. They are horrible to follow. They waste talent. They waste money. All of that. Read my site, I talk all about it.

Last but not least....when your club is at the centre of one of the most disgraceful episodes in Australian sporting history, you have to expect people to write about it. You've got to cop it. It's not about YOU. It's not attacking YOU.

No one wants this to be happening. It's horrible. There will be no winners that come out of this. This will only do damage to the Sharks and to the game in general. None of his is an agenda. This is just what is happening. People have to accept that.

Hopefully when this is all over things work out well for the Sharks. I know I hope they do. My first ever jersey was a Sharks jersey I got when I was 4. My first ever favourite player was ET. I would love to see the Sharks being a success....but that doesn't change the situation they are facing right now.

Wishful thinking won't help the Sharks right now. This who ASADA investigation is tragic for the club. Trying to deflect blame doesn't help the club at all. I think most Sharks fans understand that.

I really do hope that things don't get any worse for the Sharks. Unfortunately, I think they will. It's a very sad situation for the club to be facing.

Hard to disagree.

First of all I have no opinion of who you are or what you do. Good luck to you. I will say though that this isn't even close to being one of the most disgraceful episodes in Australian sport. I'm not defending what's gone on but that's just unnecessary hyperbole. It is more than likely a failed attempt by some clubs and players to get an edge by taking substances that while being banned, bear no resemblance to the substances at the centre of most drugs in sport scandals such as cycling/athletics/baseball etc.

Some big mistakes have been made, and more than likely by lots of clubs and lots of players, but no one won a world championship or gold medal or premiership from it. In our code, the salary cap scandals of the last decade are far worse.

And anyone who thinks league is going to move a Sydney club against it's will, while the code in this city is under seige from afl and football, is simply engaging in yet more baseless hyperbole.

Well, we still don't actually know what has happened yet. So, it can't really be labelled "one of the most disgraceful episodes in Australian sport". League freak, you've prematurely ejaculated.

Disagree with this bit. As long as there's another team, like Perth, ready to take our place there is no doubt in my mind the ARLC wouldn't mind seeing us collapse or relocate.

If they move the sharks they lose that entire part of Sydney. It won't be like south Melbourne and the swans. Sydney sports fans are much more willing to just try something else, and I think they would. Sharks fans would abandon the code I think. Still league has made some stupid decisions in the past...

I also think the example of the bunnies and news limited is still fresh in peoples minds.

After reading your post about taking the n and the i out of Penrith to make Perth, and your post above, I've decided you've got a touch of the Roy and HG's about you slide rule.

We don't have anywhere near the support or history of Souths, there is no comparison to the reaction we'd receive from the public to what Souths got.

If we were given the flick and a team from Perth or second Brisbane team was brought in the commercial opportunities are far bigger there than what they are in the Shire. Like it or not that's what the ARLC will be thinking about. We're a small club, they won't care if we go under.

At the time when Souths were kicked out they were seriously unloved. They were getting absolutely terrible crowds etc. The only people that turned up were the housos from Redfern. I'm of the belief that a lot of their support has come post-kick out. Actually a lot of it has come post privatisation, since they've actually been competitive.

As for the commercial opportunities elsewhere, that may be the case, but it also costs an absolute **** load to set up a new club. Look at the money that has been spent on GWS for instance (and they are coming last). I'm not sure the NRL wants to commit to that just at the moment. It would also cost a **** load in travel to base a team out of Perth. The airfares alone would be exorbitant. It would also add to the overall costs to the League to have a team in Perth. Each club would have to lug a whole team and support staff across there once a year.

Do each of the clubs want to fork out for an extra team which will ultimately take away from their own bottom line? They are nearly all struggling financially at the moment. Personally I wouldn't want to see another Melbourne where it becomes the Rugby League heartland's responsibility to fund an out of town team. Lending the Sharks 1mil would be a much more financially palatable solution for most parties than coming up with starting costs of 10- 15MIL+, plus an ongoing increased grant that would no doubt be necessary.

That's not to say that it won't be done, but I don't think the financial argument for expansion isn't as clear cut as some in the media would have us believe. Even the Gold Coast pretty much went broke straight away.

The problem league freak is you are not seeing this in context. Where there is room for drug cheating to be done without detection, as there has been here, there are always lots more people involved than is initially thought. After the Lance Armstrong saga, they keep coming out of the woodwork.

By the time this is over, lots of players and lots of clubs will be involved.

Yes Souths were unloved as far as crowds were concerned but they've always had a large supporter base because of their rich history.

GWS are coming last because their team was stacked with the best 17 year old talent in the country. There will be a few years of pain but they will be a gun team in a few years time. Anyway, I'd say a second team in Brisbane would come in before a Perth team if we were to fold. Yes, it would cost a bit to set it up but the support for league in Brisbane is unquestioned so the new team wouldn't be relying on cash from the ARLC for long. I don't think that would be a concern at all.

I just don't think there's a whole lot of love for our club outside of the supporter base. Maybe I'm wrong, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see the administrators shedding a tear if we folded.
