Me too. Certainly makes the game more interesting with someone making their debut.
Stewy Mills is the benchmark
I think it's good to debut against the Titans and he might actually feel less pressure not playing at home in front of thousands of eager Sharks fans.
Titans won't be walkovers by any means for us but they arnt a team renowned for punishing mistakes or keeping the pressure on though they are capable of it depending on how they turn up and their attitude on the day. Kinda similar to us actually at present
You'd think if he goes well he's a good chance to jag the 14 jersey.
Really hope he carves it up. I'm thinking more and more that we need the smarts of a Moylan and the threat of a Kennedy to allow Nicho the chance to play his game. If Miller can provide that threat outside Nicho he'll be a thousand times better than last week
That would be a bonus cause we need more than what the likes of Tracey or Trindall give us from the 14 but we can worry about that later. Metcalf showed promise as a '14' but at this stage he will being doing well just to get a game this season under Fitz it seems which is a bummer because he is an exciting talent with pace and we just don't have a stack of that raw speed in our squad outside of maybe Tracey that hardly ever finds open field.
On the plus side we get to see the debut of an interesting prospect in Miller, a bloke that may well have been considered a project player and that I had no real expectation of seeing in FG in 2022 if ever and certainty not by round 11. Good Luck to him.
Even if Miller can't provide the threat you talk about Sparkles, Nicho should be better purely by not having to play 2 positions at once this week and just focus on being a half, assuming Miller does a decent enough job at the back that is. League is a simple game so I think he will be ok.
Our whole team should be better with the ball cause last week we were essentially playing without a fullback in attack and that was a real handicap. Far less shape, fluidity and options out back and on the edges and this made it alot easier than usual for the opposition to shut us down.
Highlights package from ryan tilse.
running down Sir Edward Lee is impressive
