Can he ball play? I agree billy is more of a lock, but so much of our attack goes down that left side, might help having billy on an edge. If wade doesn’t play our attack run out of options pretty quick and Xerri gets F-All ball.

Be nice to get Peachy back. Perfect no. 14.

There were games it seemed like he maybe could have been picked but then when he did play he hardly banged down the door to demand he hold the spot.

Think he’d have been a long way from a Qld top

Yep Boogs has to be playing at 120% to have dramatic impact. Last season he was clicking over at about 70% of his ability from what I saw

I think what I meant was the QLD development squad, no I know he never made the official QLD squad. Pretty sure I do remember him being picked in the development squad at one stage when he was at his best.

He may have been, it's just been that long ago, 2-4 years ago I reckon. He's a good player if he wants to be & the right attitude with us.

Pretty sure he was 18th man for at least 1 origin this year wasn't he? Maybe went from 19th to 18th after an injury? I dunno had a quick google but was all courier mail and pay-walled.

Onto Capewell, I reckon he is a good player, top utility but he'll never be one of the 1st chosen for us in any of his positions, probably best for him to leave.

Ahh. Sorry, my bad for skimming posts and assuming they were about the player in the thread title.

If he wants a starting spot and that money he can't get it here. He's a bit of a victim of his versatility and that his utility value exceeds that of committing him to at any 1 position.

I'd love to keep him if he were happy to keep being that utility bench/back up on something fair but he seems to want more and good on him if he can get it. If Wade or Nikora weren't available I'd rather Capewell over say .. Sorro.

No all good mate, I brought him (Bukuya) up the previous page but no worries. Anyway, I'm pretty sure Capewell would know he is a utility player & he can't necessarily be kept all the time because of that. Aswell as you, I too would much rather keep Capewell (utility values & general ability) over Sorenson or 1-2 others from other positions if we had to pick players to keep. If Capewell can't find a club & becomes a free agent, I wouldn't be surprised if we sign him again eventually.

Ah I thought you meant origin this year, was wondering how you thought he was close.

You should know better than that

Problem is we just don't have the money, undoubtedly a more useful player bu he's about 4 times as expensive as Sorensen
I think if Prior goes we maybe pick up Capewell, that's about the only way I see it as possible unless he signs on for way under his other offers

I’m gutted! I always thought he would re-sign with us on the cheap. I guess this gives me a reason to watch panthers next year. Best of luck Kurt

Me too, sort of thought there would be a bit of Superleague movement, and he would remain. Has been good value, can't wait around anylonger, with clubs in Pre Season I guess.Best wishes to him, has been a good story.
