I think that some underestimate the value of having a player like Capewell who has the flexibility to play multiple positions if needed. The Sharks ability to have the bench strength to cover for injuries during a game is critical. Kurt's flexibility to be able to come off the bench and play as a centre or 2nd rower or as a winger, etc, allows others to concentrate on their best positions. I'd prefer him to be a bit bigger, but with the prolonged absence of Wade Graham, Luke Lewis, Paul Gallen and up until the last game Boogs, means that we are thinner on personnel than we would like to be. When called upon, Kurt rolls up his sleeves and gets into it. No fuss, no ego, popular teammate - just does his job. I like him a lot.

he goes hard for sure but he plays backrow like a centre and centre like a backrower - was hoping some additional game time would see more marked improvements to his game but the rest of our backrow completely out play him including new boy Soronsen

maybe we need to kick his way more often to give him a point of difference, he has taken some ripper catches in the air, him and ramien might be able to work some things out if lewy is still a couple weeks away

I like Capes, he brings some value but i'm not sure how we get his game to the next level where his attributes can make more of a consistent impact

That leap and catch of his was good, but he landed with jelly legs and tried to crawl to the line. Couldn't get there and went for the double movement. Not that impressive actually.

What will keep him on the bench is his ability to cover centre/wing.

So many teams have been caught out in this area by playing four straight forwards.

I don't know if we can expect Lewis to cover this any more.

Does Sorensen have this versatility maybe ?

I'm just impressed when we catch the ball off an attacking kick

Sorensen has been playing a bit of 9 for Newtown.

Thought he put in a solid/consistent performance against Parra

Line break assist when he put Holmes into space as well for the Chad try

No Lewy, Boogs, Wade off injured, Soro got hurt as well, he needed to hold up his end of the ledger - couldn't say he let us down

That little inside pass for Val was very good, and Val looked like he was expecting it to happen.

His defensive work is actually great.

Whenever he plays 80 minutes he tends to make 30+ tackles. He was also chopping ****s in half and stopping all their momentum

I like Capewell more and more each week. He loves a tackle and does all the 1 percenters. I wouldn't mind at all if we go with him to replace Lewis next season.

He was heavily involved but seems to go to ground too easily. Needs to work on his strength and ability to stay alive.

Has been making 30+ tackles for a few weeks now.

Attack is getting better too
