His passing is fine. It’s the crabbing across field for me at the start of sets. Kills momentum when the first tackle is at the 30m line and with his crab run on second tackle where he gets monstered with a slow play the ball on the 32m line.

He’s proven he’s effective when he engages the line directly, just stick to it.
Katoa, Mulitalo and Iro are all guilty of crabbing when we are getting pinned down. There's no decent run up with some speed and power behind them.

WK and Talakai were the only ones at time taking the hits. We missed Ramien.

I just watched the Kayo Mini and I can see the one @Jasonstevenswedgie means. Score was 20-6 at the time so might not have made much difference.

Iro gets the ball off Will, brushes past a defender who rushed up leaving Ronnie unmarked. There was definitely time for him to pass but since Iro normally carries the ball in his left hand he would have had to switch it to his right hand to pass it. By that time the defenders we’re on him. But Iro never looked left and probably had no intention of passing it.

Great debut season by the young fella. Plenty of talent with still lots to learn but have full faith he’ll reach those heights across the next couple of seasons.

Conditions made it hard for him, like alot of our players. Hard to put on your footwork and use your strength when your running around on a bog and with a slippery ball.

Not a great game but a great season
