Yep - and Iro covers the backs in this HIA era - without disrupting our pack mid game .

I am concerned we will lose Iro if he doesn’t get a regular run soon …
If that’s the case so be it

Great backups - but there is a reason they aren’t making the team

You can’t keep everyone

Would like to see more of Iro, but Talakai deserves a starting spot with how he went first 3 rounds, so he goes back to centre.
Keep Atkinson as utility, covers whole backline and can cover lock or dummy half. I think him and Brailey could do some damage if they formed a combination in the middle, especially with support running

Fair enough comment .

Probably is but there’s still someone in front of him.
Different story if he was 20 but he’s 24 now.
He’s good enough for NRL but apparently not so good anyone will make a decent offer for him

Yeah reckon Iro is hanging around for a 10 min bench role?

Iro will be gone by the end of the season imo. No way he stays as a depth player. He’s good enough to play for another nrl team each week. Eels are keen on him. They want Lomax but if that fails they’ll throw there attention back towards Iro.

Iro would be better than Morgan Harper who i would let go

Harper is their backup centre, he’s okay at that kind of level.
Iro might be good enough to start though, which frees up Simonsson to go back to wing.

Question more might be is Iro better than Russell (or Simonsson) as those are the guys he’d need to move from best 17.

If he’s just taking Harpers role in the team he may as well stay at Sharks/Newtown with his mates.

I honestly think Iro’s best bet is to go to the super league for a year or two. Get 50+ games under his belt then look at returning to the Nrl. If he carves up over there clubs will be queuing up for him to come back imo.

Super League is a little hasty. I reckon he could start at Parra, Wests, Raiders and Titans right now.

I'm all for a player swap with the Tigers... Iro for their rookie half who's only played a couple of games. With Luai coming next year, it's not like they need him.

Some talk Luai will play 7
Which he pretty much has to Galvin going that well.

They may need to transition Galvin into 13 or something though then to fit Fainu

He looked like he relished the opportunity. He was celebrating each try scored with the player who scored. Loved the fist pump when he scored himself (although he looked like he dropped it.... but no complaints here)

Yeah interesting fit with Luai, Galvin and Fainu all there as halves (and all signed long term).

I wonder how Galvin's agent feels about his next contract being for lock money, not halves money.

I think he'll end up in the second row but yeah, that could be the sticking point.

Second row feels like a waste of his ball playing unless they lean into it and let him be new Wade Graham

Probably not great!
Might need to start wiggling around for an upgrade sooner rather than later.

Yeah could be a waste but I guess it depends on how much he wants to stay there. Apparently he was agitating for a release not so long ago but that may change now he's in the NRL.
