And then there's a Kyle Stanley for you.

I hope Dykes will be able to consistently play the game he loves at the highest level, but it doesn't look good at the moment.
It must be real tough on the kid mentally.
Thats a fair point. I wouldn’t hold a position open for him if it’s blocking someone else who is ready. But certainly wouldn’t give up on him.

Still no confirmation of what the injury is I believe?

I don't think there is. At least I don't believe anyone has mentioned it here... And yet we all know what Hiroti injury is already.
Maybe the medical staff is still assessing the issue which might actually be good news for him (and us).

Yeah you'd think if it was an ACL we'd have heard by now.

Newtown injuries you rarely ever hear an update. Unfortunately I'd say they are waiting for the scan, and then the Sharks will probably confirm the bad news.
Hmm fair enough. I thought we heard pretty quick with Ison. The hands on test usually is pretty conclusive with an ACL too.

Copying from @Walley_01 's post in the match thread:

In reserve grade, fullback Kade Dykes suffered a non-contact knee injury with scans to determine the prognosis.

Bugger so done for the season you would think :(
  • Return to Play: Typically ranges from 6 to 12 months post-surgery, depending on individual circumstances.
  • Rehabilitation: Involves intensive physiotherapy focusing on strength and mobility restoration.
  • Prognosis: With dedicated rehabilitation, many athletes return to their previous level of play, though the process is challenging.
Saw Connor Watson miss all of 2023 but has been elite since.

As mentioned Hunt another example on a much heavier frame although less dynamic runner than Dykes or Watson.

Yep. We have to and will persevere with him, won't be costing us muchin the cap, probably close to minimum wage.

He's definitely got talent and still only 23. People forget Cody Walker didn't make his debut until he was 26.
