Please. He made a great ****ing tackle last week. Apart from that he ain't nothing special. He fits into our conservative game plan nothing more nothing less. He isn't anywhere near the top hookers in the game. He tackles reasonably well, he passes from dummy half and makes three or four average scoots from dummy half a game. Whoopdy doo.

Imagine if we actually got a hooker that could create from dummy half? Both our hookers ensure we play in the middle third and just punch that ball down the middle. I really can't see us making the next step until we upgrade at 7 and 9.

The top hookers... smith, farah, friend, luke.

For some reason people think we are lacking in the hooker department massively but the fact is there are 4 guns, maybe a couple more who are slightly above the rest and then the rest of the comp are on par. Morris played well this year, was probably in the top half of the comp. We could have used lichaas creativity off the bench but I am more than happy with morris starting.

No way was liccha ready though. How many hookers or forwards make the jump from the 20's straight into 1sts?

I think its easier for a back as there is less contact then a forward.

There is a difference between props and backrowers making the jump to a hooker. I would be worried about him in firsts if he was small but he is a big guy for a dummy half. Nothing would have been lost by having him on the bench, de gois is obviously better defensively but when you're in the middle of the park you get plenty of help from the big forwards around you. Since coming back from newcastle de gois has offered nothing with the ball. Lichaas style would make him dangerous in any grade.

I agree DeGois has done two thirds of FA, I probably would have trusted Pat more then Michael in defense but from next year round 1 if Liccha isn't on the bench that'll do me.
