Hope your mail is straight from the horses mouth RE keen to come here.

Can't see Gould coming to the party - given he didn't even want to release M Gordon to us this year for a pittance.

gould does have a say in where jennings goes as he wants to be paying as little of jennings contract as possible , but so does jennings. i may be wrong but i think out of the 3 clubs chasing his signature. i think the titians were offering the most money, but jennings made it clear he did not want to leave sydney. i also think jennings preference would be to come to the sharks, as he has a few friends at our club.
i guess it all comes down to, if we can up with an offer that is about want the roosters are offering, so that gould will agree to releasing him

want is this time frame based on would have thought it would have taken longer than that as i would have thought both us and the roosters would need the cap
to be raised to 5.8 million, which as far as i know has not be finialised yet. i can not see the nrl registering a contract if it is reliant on a cap increase that has not be finialised.
i also can not see us announcing a high profile signing until he has signed on the dotted line, after want happened with snowden

I remember reading an article on him sometime last year, and he was saying he's pretty keen to play alongside his brother who is off-contract next year. Might have to be a double deal in order or get pen to paper.

i heard Gus is saying its roosters or nothing, anything could happen as soo players dont come onto the market every five minutes.to anyone who thinks that Gus isn't the one holding the winning hand with a player of that quality is playing with themselves !

surely the player would have a say in their own future. i know gus has ties with the roosters, but jennings has ties to cronulla (in the respect that lewis, graham, gordon , mat wright and pom come from penrith )

Dimi,

I don't see how Gus is holding all the cards at all. He is contracted to the club at a ridiculous price, Gould wants that money to be put to better use... If Jennings got the ****s he could dig his heels in play for the reserve grade side and still collect huge dollars.

Obviously Jennings wants to leave and play elsewhere, he will decide where he really wants to play and then if the club get close enough to helping out the salary cap issue at the Panthers you'd imagine Gould will jump.

Jennings won't go somewhere he doesn't want to go simply because it suits Gould.

Obviously the money has to be close enough for Gould to say yes... but Jennings has a pretty big say in where he wants to play, otherwise he doesn't ask for the release...

totally agree, jennings has already shown that, i belive the titians were offering the most money. but jennings did not want to play for the titians as he does not want to leave sydney. if the titians offer was the highest that would have suited gould the most. but as you said the money we offer has to be very close to want the roosters are offering for gus to agree.
