Interested in your opinion(s) regarding Jennings.

Its all gone a little quiet on this front, but we need one more dynamic back!

With the potential Ryan / Heighington signings I think this actually helps our chances of signing him $$$$ wise...

I believe we get salary relief by signing these guys and releasing Jezz...in other words I think we wre paying Jez more than we will pay these two therefore freeing up more cash,,,

Flame away , but if he does get released (jennings) i think we are in a stronger position to have a real crack at him

Thoughts?

Think it's doubtful. Reckon Parra are more of a chance. Even with Smith going I can't see us being able to afford him! Would love to have him but just can't see it at the moment.

Pretty much this.

I'd love for us to get Jennings but we can't afford his 600k contract.

Gould's already made it clear their are no cuts, you take the entire 600k or you don't get him.

Don't think we're a chance to get him at all

A couple months ago I heard rumors that we had actually made an offer for Jennings stating we would be willing to pay 350,000 of his 650,000 contract.

However Gould played hardball and said all or nothing.

If we can get Gould to crack I reckon he's a chance.

My info is he agreed to go to Dragons several weeks ago. Panthers would pay 150k in the first year

However he backed out of the deal, not keen to move away from his home and to Wollongong. Also co-incided with Stuart signing with Parra. If he goes anywhere it will be Parra.

Jennings will not be leaving Penrith. They are having a massive push on local juniors and he along with Coote, are the centre pieces. Also, he has a couple of gun younger brothers and Gus doesn't want to lose them.

What is Smith on? 300K? 350K?
Heini would be 200K?, Ryan, 150K?... not much change left..

No way!

He won't want to play for the Sharks for what we can offer him. Lewis and Gordon didn't come cheap and if the rumours about Ryan and Heighington are true, then I would say we would pretty much be at the cap limit for next year.

I'd say we would have been interested. And possibly even put some figures his way. But he wants the money honey and us signing Ryan and Highington shows we have moved forward.

I would say yes but not for the amount of $$ as it has been reported that he wants.

Especially if the Sharks get Ryan, Heighington, and have signed Lewis and Gordon etc...

You would think so they have probably spent enough time him, from what I have been reading its all about the money and his mate is his manager making the decisions for him dont think things will change until his contract expires and he misses the boat with many clubs.
