Anyone that wants a NHL team in Sharks colours; the Coyotes have lost their licence and it's been picked up by Utah, they taking a poll now for what they will be called, but in the meantime they will will run out in this uniform

San Jose Sharks have our colours of sorts.

I've been a fan of that team for years.

Nice colors... There's something I like about them, but can't quite put my finger on it.
As for the names, gee... Yeti, Venom, Mammoth, Blizzards and Outlaws... Not exactly inspiring. Might as well go with Mormons or Bible Thumpers.

Game 7 for the Stanley.
Oilers back from a 3 game deficit. Florida at home but with no momentum at all.
I wish I could watch the game live, will have to settle for the highlights.

It's been a hell of a game so far. Hopefully, you can find an extended package, otherwise I'd suggest a full replay!

Saw the highlights on NHL.com. Pretty intense game from the looks of it. McDavid deservedly won the Conn Smythe too. 42 points for the entire finals!

Yeah he was amazing, but the Florida defensive beast was just too good. There was a 5 minute or so live puck time leading to their second goal. I think that broke Edmonton.

The Oilers had a great scoring chance in the lead-up of that goal too.
A 12-point turnaround so to speak.

@Vichyssoise if you want to get the NHL next season there is a way to do it in Australia. It's easy, but they don't actually give an explanation anywhere. Took me ages to figure it out, but works great now. You can watch every game streamed or as a replay.

I'm a long-suffering Ottawa Senators fan. I lived in Ottawa for a while so that's my team for better or for worse.

There are 3 ways to get the NHL in Australia...

1. If you already have Foxtel...
2. If you already have Optus FetchTV
3. If you don't have either of those

Re being a Senators fan... Commiseration. ;)
Not that the Islanders are doing much better mind you. But we probably have Alexei Yashin stories to share. :D

As for watching the NHL, I thank you for the info, sadly I'm based in Japan (see the location tidbit in my profile area :p) and these solution won't apply unless we're discussing option 3 of course... But in that case, I'd be merely asking for a friend.

Asking for a friend how they’d watch NRL while on holidays next couple weeks. ****ing stupidity my friend pays for Kayo but they won’t let him use it overseas. Will only have his phone.

Just out of curiosity of course

Yeah, overseas there's the watchnrl option (FOX), but it's not free. There's a weekly subscription at $24.00.

Ahhhh didn’t realise you were in Japan mate.

Option 3 is what I do, but there are some other considerations for outside Aus. Might be a good conversation to take offline.

… and yeah - thanks for Spezza and Chara back in the day 😛

Haha... You're welcome.

I'm totally open to listening to option 3. PM me when you get some time on your hands. It's not like the NHL season is about to start. My friend is patient.

NHL seems like the maddest sport, if I was in Canada or America I reckon I’d be a season ticket holder and right up near the ring!

Such great entertainment

High hopes for my Islanders. Season opener on Friday (my time). Really looking forward to it.
Not convinced by the long contract given to goalie Sorokin, but I suppose it's just me still lamenting the stupid DiPietro contract all these years ago.

Mixed start for the Kraken. I still don't think they have the cattle to make a dent, but hopefully the young centres can take another good development step.

After 10 games, watching the Islanders play is like watching the Sharks during the dreaded 2009-2011 period. Barely more appealing than watching paint dry.
Shutout 4 times already, the worst offense in the league, a bunch of hapless players with a US$ 9 million "superstar" who couldn't have an assist let alone score a goal to save his life.
Patrick Roy is a great coach (and my favorite player when he was active) but it'll take some miracle to get that season going anywhere.
