It's been 5 years since the Sharks were kicked out of the NRL

We weren't merged, we weren't relocated, we were totally dissolved as a club and replaced by a Second Brisbane Team, with zero ties to our defunct club.

This season, a Perth and an Adelaide/NT team will join the expanded comp.

You haven't really followed any rugby league since the Sharks were punted, but now you feel ready to get back on the horse and be hurt again.

Who will be your new team, both old and new?

BTW, this isn't a 'I won't follow anyone if the Sharks aren't in it', you need to cowboy up and pick a team you sorry sack

Depends on what the second Brisbane team was about I guess. If they didn't feel like a ****ing cheesy outback spectacular inbred line dancing country boy piece of **** team like the Broncos I'd maybe not hate them and see what happens from there. More realistically though I'd just see it as an opportunity to not follow the NRL any more. Save my Kayo money and spend it on beer, maybe watch origin or a GF every now and then and wonder who the players are. I have plenty of more **** I can do to occupy my time.

By the way the concept of a team covering the centre of Australia from Adelaide to Darwin is interesting. Maybe a game in Alice Springs once a year or something too. Never thought Adelaide was viable but if it covered that kind of ground it could be.

I live near Penrith, a lot of my mates are Panthers fans so I’d probably end up having a soft spot for them. I wouldn’t be buying memberships or care if they win or lose or anything. But if you held a gun to my head, it would probably be them.

Yeah I’d prob support Penrith if I had to pick. But it wouldn’t happen, I’d just quit the sport and only watch the origin matches.

I’m already a kings member and go to all the games. I actually get a lot more enjoyment watching the basketball over league.

League for me is not the same game I used to love playing / watching.

Tigers, no question. They’re almost my local and I haven’t a lot of mates that follow them. Before we were dissolved though, I’d hope we would have considered a merger with the Tigers, that’s right, The Tiger Sharks! A blue shark with black and orange stripes. It’s a match made in heaven.
