I reckon we play them up the middle , kick to the sideline , slow the game down , stop the off loads and put pressure on Benji. .... oh n complete sets......
How do you think we beat the Tigers ?

Score more points than them?

It's too early to say, we don't really know how Flanno wants the side to play next season yet so yeah.

When Tigers come up against competent forward packs they try to go up the middle but get no where, then they throw it out wide and earn heaps of metres through their backs. So edge defence is something we need to focus on, and not just on our try line but everywhere on the field. I don't see Blair changing this significantly.

On the other hand I think our team will be able to roll up the middle, get quick play the balls and then De Gois to Carney to an outside back will cause a bit more damage than what we're used to. I can see us out scoring them even. Just have to tighten our damn defence up.

Its simple score more points than they do

Obviously not a large part of our game plan since 2000. Only beaten them 4 times.

The draws are a rort. For the past 5 seasons we've only played the Tigs once a year

Just gotta win field position and take advantage when your in attacking areas. The main problem is shutting down their backs. You really don't want Pomeroy in the centres for this game.

In your head, rent free
i reckon miss more tackles, make more mistakes, and defend on the goal line should see us beat the tigers in a land slide

We were ROBBED the last two times we played the Tigers. In 2010 the refs even admitted it afterwards!

Get the Ex- Tigers to fire up Bryce Gibbs with huge barnstorming runs down the centre.
Fifita running out a bit wider fending off the likes chris lawrence and beau ryan and off loading to Speedster Nathan Gardner or J W

Yep, was a horrible night for me, I'll never forget it (long story).

Yes, Pomeroy was held about a metre out from the line. Bryce Gibbs runs up behind him and puts the shoulder in, which pushes Pomeroy over and he falls over the try line and grounds the ball. Now to me (and the rules of the NRL) this means it was either a try to the Sharks, or if Pomeroy was held it was a penalty against the Tigers for a late tackle. Instead they gave the penalty to the Tigers for a double movement against the Sharks.

The next week the 'official view' from the referees boss was that it was the wrong ref decision and it should have been a try or a penalty to the Sharks, but "It doesn't matter anyway as the Sharks are not in finals contention". That was salt in the wound for me big time.

need to stop tigers lateral movement slide defence is essential, its needs to be worked on in training, and needs to be communicated non stop when on the field, de gois carney and halves partner and gallen need to really get the communication in defence going
