Ugh why round 1 away game against these guys. We need a positive start to the season.

I don't care how good a team we get we always struggle against the Tigers although last few games against them gives us hope.

It's all about putting the Tigers off their game. When they are on fire they are almost unstopable but disrupt their rythm and there impulsive nature might see them implode. Need to get in their faces in get in front on the scoreboard early.

Tigers will be fired up after the way they exited the finals series this year.

I really hope Carney and Co. start a new legacy of beating these guys like they have done to us for a decade.

Obviously not a large part of our game plan since 2000. Only beaten them 4 times.

The draws are a rort. For the past 5 seasons we've only played the Tigs once a year

I'm pretty sure we have played them twice in a season a few times over the last 5 years??

And if we only played them once a year wouldn't that work in our favour or you think we need more practice against them?

show the same intensity like we did against St Merge in the early rounds of the year.

Get in there face and give them no option.

OR

Pin down Marshall and the battle is half won.

i cant believe the tigers dont cop more grief for the culture they have over there. marshall hitting that guy at maccas, lui bashing his girl twice, the tim moltzen thing, now theres something about todd payten pissing on a war memorial. they get in as much strife as any other side

dont committ to benji....

i disagree. one man, prowling on Benji all day. i call Gallen. just running at him and absolutely smashing him. don't fall for any dummies, just commit to nail him every time. then, make sure everyone else knows that this is going to be happening and to be watching his surrounding players for the pass, and the bloke either side of Gallen being cautious of a side step.

in summary, just have Gallen decimate him.

i like the plan, but i worry about gallens speed and lateral movement, i would rather someone like bukuya have that task

to be fair, foran still ripped them apart that game

True, I would just like to see Marshall smashed. I do have to agree if we are going to do it it's going to have to be a backrower with plenty of mobility which does scream Bukuya. I would still love to see Taga give him that treatment but.

Good point but I wouldnt worry about Gallen missing too many tackles. He IS the greatest back rower the world will ever see, if he wants to make a tackle, I'd back him to. Plus if the men outside him are weary of the step then he'd had ample support

Actually i reckon we play em at their own game and throw it around big time when we have the ball... and just tackle our hearts out when they do!
