I know not many of you will care but here is my take on the situation.

(a) Gallen is not a captains ***hole. Noddy was calling the shots last year. If anyone manages staff or leads people they understand.
(b) Hughes is pedestrian from dummy half. Makes tackles/passes ball. Wow. DeGois was unstoppable.
(c) Seymour would have been retained by the Drongos if he was class in the number 7. Number 6 "**** yeah" Number 7 "no".
(d) Barrett throws a nice pass but he's the only one on the field that knows what Barrett is doing.
(e) Maitua is getting paid.....might as well be Filiga. Looks lost on the field.
(f) Tupou is a star player but only if your surrounded by a bunch of chook fvcktards.
(g) Pommers reminds me of Mellors at the moment. Big and strong but can't catch the ball. He has returned to his regularity.
(h) New kids on the block. "big nuts" "thommo" and "peekie" brought some old hard head starch and passion and lead the engine room. Dougie is our standout boy but still a boy.
(i) Our defense has slipped. Nuff said.
(j) Norrie is lazy. Watches tackles. Is 5 metres behind the action unless he's tired. Then try 20m.
(k) Stuart inherits...then implodes. Wasn't happy when he came on board. Won't be sorry to see him go when the time comes.
(l) No vision. Set plays are all well and good but if you can't read a situation and play to it then you might as well stand around with your thumb in your ****. This is what separated Wally Lewis from the rest cause he was fatter and slower but unmatched in the brains department until they cut a slice out.
(m) Poor disipline. Stop chasing penalties.

I could go through the rest of the alphabet but fingers are sore. I will eat my words in regards to Reecie Williams. I think he is a solid performer and improved. I do have positives but considering we are at the bottom of the table we need to address the negatives and improve drastically.

agree on: b,c,e,g,h,i,l,m

partly agree: a,j

disagree: d,f,k

topou can play just needs not to try so hard sometimes, barrett is a beast... just have to look back to when nathan blacklock was scoring 25+ tries a year who was setting all them up? BARRETT, not really barretts fault when he throws a great cut out pass covell cant beat any1 with speed or that simmons cant stick his palm off and blow by some1...
stuart can coach, theres no doubting that... but by the looks of his time at the sharks i really hate admitting it but looks like gus may be right and he does need a specialist attacking coach 2 help him out.

(a) Gallen is not a captains ***hole. Noddy was calling the shots last year. If anyone manages staff or leads people they understand.
WRONG! Saying that he is not a captains ******** is completely disrespectful, yeah maybe hes not as decorated as cam smith, but he is trying his guts out and is really upset when he loses, thats the main thing.

(b) Hughes is pedestrian from dummy half. Makes tackles/passes ball. Wow. DeGois was unstoppable.- Agree

(c) Seymour would have been retained by the Drongos if he was class in the number 7. Number 6 "**** yeah" Number 7 "no".
I agree he was in great form as 6 at the end of last yr, but remember he is coming back from a knee reco, theres a saying that it takes a full yr to get back on the park AND then another yr to get back to 100 percent, buster came back from a knee reco that occured 6 months ago, and is trying to gel with a 6 he has never played with before, so give him time!

(d) Barrett throws a nice pass but he's the only one on the field that knows what Barrett is doing.- possibly, yes.

(e) Maitua is getting paid.....might as well be Filiga. Looks lost on the field. Agreed

(f) Tupou is a star player but only if your surrounded by a bunch of chook fvcktards. Tuops does look like he is either out of place or trying to do a bit too much at the moment, so in time im hoping that changes when he learns his role.

(g) Pommers reminds me of Mellors at the moment. Big and strong but can't catch the ball. He has returned to his regularity. Agreed 100 percent,
maybe even less than regularity.

(h) New kids on the block. "big nuts" "thommo" and "peekie" brought some old hard head starch and passion and lead the engine room. Dougie is our standout boy but still a boy. Agreed, but there were plenty of times when peeky gave me the sh*ts by losing the ball, we definately miss nuts, and rossco.
(i) Our defense has slipped. Nuff said.- absoloutely

(j) Norrie is lazy. Watches tackles. Is 5 metres behind the action unless he's tired. Then try 20m. Havent noticed him so maybe that speaks a loud yes.
(k) Stuart inherits...then implodes. Wasn't happy when he came on board.
Won't be sorry to see him go when the time comes. - Not sure about this one, have we ever had success with a coach? he took us to third last yr which you cant complain about, but I agree he needs to swallow his pride and ask for help in attack.

(l) No vision. Set plays are all well and good but if you can't read a situation and play to it then you might as well stand around with your thumb in your ****. This is what separated Wally Lewis from the rest cause he was fatter and slower but unmatched in the brains department until they cut a slice out.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(m) Poor disipline. Stop chasing penalties. Yep

wally lewis was only ever good at origin, in regular games he was average at best, he had problems in the brain department recently, but I think all toads do . . .

Barrett has great vision mate, the ball that almost put reece williams through when wright shouldve been awarded the try early in the game was a great example!

Another was the massive cutout ball to pom where covell's try was dissalowed was another time where barret showed great vission

He has magic in his hands that most dnt have, especially noddy!

A ; As much as like gal everybody has got to say he does some dumb things on the field that cost us . What trouble would he get into if he wasn't captain.
B,C,E,G,H,I,J,L,M Agree with most of what you said but not all parts to pissed to sit here and type all of them :drunk
D He has been one of our better players but he is not a organiser he is 5/8 that gets our backs going [ha ha we only wish he had some body that is quick ]
F Toups has been good ,probably only trying to hard
K As for sticky is he smart enough to change his game plan now that the game is quicker i don't know maybye dip stick gus is right he needs help :cheers

Mega-pretty much agree with all, but maybe a bit harsh on Gallen though, mostly leads by example- but as a team organiser, you are right.

Thanks Stormshark, but I didn't realise I had given my views in this thread yet...possibly the confusion stems from the fact that Deadly has stolen my unique avatar, maybe I should have copyrighted the damn thing! ;)

Seymour played great at halfback at the end of 2007 for us so wtf are you bitching about? I believe he has been one of our best when he has been on the field next to Douglas and Snowden

You think I am gonna be on this side of the ditch when we finally get our hands on that elusive comp? Not likely, I will be camped in Sharkies Leagues for the next fortnight! :drunk

Along with Dougie ,Toups has been our best player and for him to cop even a little pickle from you guys is B***hit, the guy is trying to hard and gets bagged, maybe if some of the others pulled finger and had a go he wouldn't have to.
It is crap, bag the guys who are not trying , back the kid up and he will offload the ball, he tackles everything moving, and hits it up as hard as anyone, I don't understand some of the comments you guys come up with WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!

He's not an ideal captain I agree, but he's passionate and leads by example. Who would you suggest as captain?

I agree 100%. He has never really been dominant in the #7. Others here have mentioned 2007, but keep in mind that we lost 10 games in a row.

As for Seymour play him in 6 and Barret in 7, it dont matter to much as they are normally split either side, last years form will do when it comes to Seymour
