i was happy the season was over when we lost the semi, the news ltd destruction of the game has taken a massive toll on the game.Mates that support other nrl teams say that it was a **** season & also lost interest in rugby league due to **** headlines weekin weekout,it stung sharks supporters more than others because it was mostly us in the news.
Also the medias love of all things roosters and souths turned me off the game a fair bit as well. The football media should be completely neutral.

I find the thing so mishandled that it's hard to take seriously but it has increased my passion and support of the Sharkies if anything

ASADA is one thing but what the media did with it to spin it against us week in week and was deplorable but I expect nothing less from those worms

Makes me angry and dissapointed but again only riles up my passion further

Simple answer is no. My sharks spirit and passion hasn't taken a hit.

But my spirit in the overall game has been dampened. The media have really exposed themselves for what they really are. Even more so than previously. Its just a shame non sharks supporters get sucked in the rubbish they feed everyone.

The really bad thing about it is that an entire season has passed & there are no signs of it all coming to an end anytime soon, god help league if it isn't resolved well before the kickoff of 2014 season.

Correct. That's what I found so difficult all year. General public believe the crap written by Wilson and Hooper and I spent too much time trying to defend us from the nonsense that was written. I soon worked out that arguing with imbeciles is pointless!

Nothing about the asada investigation has had any impact on my love for the Sharks.

I'm appalled by the fact that we can we get hammered by ANYONE that slander us, with no recourse.

My Sharkies spirit is immortal - my faith in useless people in asada, government, media?

That's another story.

My opinion is basically what everyone else has said.

My love for the Sharks has increased, my overall interest in the game has decreased.

The ironic thing, in what we are all saying, is - are we actually the ones who have brought this on ourselves and the game?

I know other supporters are saying we are the ones to blame for this mess.

Yet we all saying we love the Sharks and hate the NRL.

My thanks to everyone who has voted and commented. It looks like the vast majority, as I had hoped, have voted that ASADA has not dampened your enthusiasm and passion for our club.

As I have said in previous threads over the years my passion for this club still remains and should we find ourselves one day totally out of favour and no longer in the NRL competition, the NRL will have lost me as a rugby league supporter. I could not support any other team.

Lets hope we can get through all this, if some of the hopeful signings I'm reading about in the rumour mill come true, it should be a very exciting 2014.

i guess it all depends on the scope and breadth of the definition of "Sharkies Spirit"

No the spirit with the team and club is still strong but, unsure if that extends to the board and management. The exception to this being Steve Noyce who has handled a difficult situation with professionalism and dignity.

No ... never.
But what has dampened is my faith in the media.
How and why have so many quotes, findings and statements been "leaked" by a Government Agency to the media ? Surely that should be investigated as well. The natural course of law cannot be followed if these things are spread BEFORE any official statement or findings are released. Always smelt like a "stitch-up" and hoping that we would fall on our swords and go quietly.
Sharks forever !!!!

We should make a poll "Does everyone rate the way ASADA go about their business", I'm all for getting a clean sport but imo they have made this whole investigation look ordinary, & I'm not saying that as a Sharks supporter either.

Nope, the opposite actually, the way it has brought the players together has rubbed off on the fans I think, we've all gone in on this us vs the world mentality.
