I consider myself to be over critical generally, but I thought the 2016 GF was a a very good game. To me the 2015 GF may have been close and had a classic finish as well, but generally lacked atmosphere and thrills apart from the last few minutes. Other than that, I didn’t find it overly great to watch and compelling viewing like the 89 or 2019 GF’s for example.

2016 would be in the top 6 Gand Finals in the last 20 years IMO.

Yeah 89 was unreal. 97 as well.

2015 wasn't great.

It was a massive circle jerk over JT that accumulated in a **** bomb in golden point.

What made it interesting was that it was surround by previous and latter great Broncos vs. Cowboy games.

Check out most of those other games, they were great, the GF was not.

From my perspective we scored 2 of the best GF tries ever.

The set play from the scrum was perfect, but the super-human effort from Fifita was better than anything I've ever seen.

I didn't find it boring, I was amazed at our skill that night. We actually went up a gear after an amazing season.

Lost at sea.
imo with goggles off, one of the best GFs ive seen, tight match, both teams in the lead at stages, hectic moments throughout, gripping viewing for average joe till the bitter end!

a cracking grand final.

Yeah definitely a weird take, the game was high quality and tense and indicative of the era of the game (ie wrestle/grind).

From a non-rugby league fan, just wants to see free flowing tries it probably was a terrible grand final. Think most rusted on league would recognise it for a great battle though, and a fitting GF

Lmao it was a **** game

If that was a round 5 game it would get slaughtered for being a snooze fest

But it wasn't a round 5 game, it was a GF with everything on the line.

Was a very gripping game which is exactly what you want in a GF.

Personally I've always judged it as a trial and found it to be a bad game because we didn't put ten 18 year olds on in the second half

A snore fest? Pass. Apart from the fact we won, it was a **** boring game

For the type of footy played around that time it was as tough, gritty & hard fought as ya get. What would've made it better? A 34-32 scoreline?

He's off season trolling... Just scratching an itchy only Chad playing could normally satisfy
