The Fijian was carrying a knee injury yesterday,he will be a regular in 1st grade next year.wish he was a shark.

And here I was thinking it was Brad Fittler with sore knees from all the blow jobs he was giving him yesterday

Great win from the boys, against a pretty impressive lineup on paper for the Wolves.
I was very impressed with Tim Robinson, he wouldn't look out of place at all coming off the bench next year in first grade.
Equally impressed with Manumalealii, I saw him play a fair bit of 20's and maybe 1 or 2 NSW Cup games, but it was by far the best I've seen him play.
D Fifita also still looks very sloppy, a pre-season should do him good.
Up up Cronulla.

I'm absolutely disgusted in our club.

They did nothing for the NSW cup boys on their day.
Reading reports of about 20 people including staff giving them a clap as they walked in.
No promotion before the game. (Oh and there was a facebook message a few hours before the game)
No event at the club.
Desk staff didn't know a thing. (I rang them on Thursday)
.

They were in a grand final FFS.

I the 90's it was a huge event and the place was packed.

Who ever is in charge of it should sacked NOW!!!!!!.

Hang your heads in shame.

I agree we can't organise any promotion for a grand final day match , but we can organise the hell out of a board election / sacking.

Yeah pretty ordinary if that's true, Gil. You see teams playing for their local RSL club get more fanfare than that if they win a GF back at their club.

It's little things like this that we seem to get wrong so often. I mean, apart from the obvious opportunity to congratulate the team for one of our ONLY premierships at any level, it would have also been the perfect opportunity to get people through the door and ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY.

I'm never seen you so angry Gil. But you're right there should of been something on

hahahaha

I was at the club when we won a couple of times in the mid/late 90's, The place was packed with fans and past and present players.
When the boys came back it was high 5's and plenty of liquids, a great night, great to be part of the club.

After reading a few things on facebook and what I was told.

I rang the club to ask if there was GF thingy in the Auditorium (an event), after a minute or two I was told that there were a number of TV screens through out the bar with full bar services, WTF.
So obviously nothing had been organised or the front desk had no idea.

This is what I can't understand, a team from the Sharks makes a GF and to me no one seemed to be worried about it, I stayed at home with jerseys on, lounge room decorated, screaming with the kids and singing up up Cronulla.

It wasn't just a win for the NSW cup side......it was a win for the Cronulla Sharks.

Anyway, I can't change what happened or didn't happen I just though the boys deserved a bit more.

need a coffee now.

the club and board are only concerned about the development and the asada stuff IMO. once first grade got the boot, they didnt give a wazoo.
Which is probably where their heads should be, but someone in the organisation should have thought of something, even if it was just the person employed to run events at the Leagues Club.

exactly right. something should have been put on. doesnt take long to organise a grand final day. they had the grand final luncheon on the friday though. still nothing much to do with the nsw cup side, didnt really get that much of a mention on that day either.

Gil, sounds like you need something stronger then a coffee ;)

The obel and myself went to a local pub and cheered on like you would for any sharks outfit in a grand final, we drank, cheered and made a menace of ourselves

They should of put something on at the club and advertised it via twitter, facedump and members emails promoting the day and celebrations with the players after, for something that wouldn't of taken a great deal of time to organise and promote, and considering the money that could of been made is rather disappointing

it was the same lack of organisation / promotion last year for the sharks v raiders final, the club played the game on a blurry projector screen and the couple of tv's in the main room.... it is embarassing

who got MOM

there was no official MOM, but i texted the NSW Cup statistician to ask him the same questioon, and Tony Herman gave Michael Liccha the man of the match.

Liccha showed why he is our best hooker, and the reason why IDG should be no where near firsts next year. i am also told there is a nice upgrade waiting for Liccha.

junior moors was in my footy side at cambo when i was a youngin, with justin horo. he was the same size back then, a dead set freak. one more year with the Storm, but he loves Cronulla, so who knows.

Kirisome Auva'a is off contract and does not have an offer from the Storm, I wouldnt be surprised if we signed him, he is a gem of a player and knows our system

young tonemapea is definitely contracted to Melbourne next year, and they have big plans for him as he is a Melbourne junior.

i thought Penani was the best half on ground. chad was shocking. his kicking was rank and he has 0 running game.

mills was very good in defense, was marked heavilly, probably because he raped his opposition centre last week.

full credit to gards, i would love him back in first grade. flash on the wing. would add to our lack of attack. little **** was everywhere on sunday.

very surprised we couldnt convince Taufua to play another year, still looks good.

nice summary i feel like I have watched the game. Is penani more of a running/ playmaker half ? and I like to hear that about Gards he seems keen on forcing his way into the team.

He was way more threatening than Townsend has ever been.

that's good. It's probably why we kept him , Robbo barely get injured and we really lack for attacking options when Carney is out.

are you friends with Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks on facebook, or Sharkies leagues club. I got an event invite from Sharkies early last week, for Sunday to come down and watch the game during the afternoon.

I saw something similar on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks page earlier in the weekend and on game day too.
