I was hoping Val kicked back to him, he was naked infield

19 runs from Beale is massive, thats the type of involvement he needs

It's good to see him and leutele getting involved. We have a weird setup at the moment. It's more like wade is playing centre, and our centres are playing as extra back rowers.

Maybe that plays to our strengths, but I wouldn't expect to see a lot of open attack through that part if the field - it's all wade.
And I'm not sure I mind... Defensively they're every strong (another week where we caused a lot of errors through in your face D) so I'd give up some attack there in favour of plugging the line and not leaking points like last season.

I think people who said he was crap last night weren't paying much attention

I'm not exactly a Beale fan and he hasn't really impressed me for the most part this season but last night was his best game for us

Lot's of carries and darting runs and his hands for that that first try we put on were excellent. Even made some good tackles in defense

Beale has some class and smarts about him, I just hope we can extract it all from him consistently and that he continues to improve

He may not be creating a lot of chances with line breaks but he has shown he has some good hands to send his winger down the sideline, it's more then we've had for a while

That quick catch and pass he did to send Holmes down the sideline the other week that lead to the lewis try against the Knights was brilliant work

Yup I was thinking of that pass to Holmes as well, was really calm and executed the pass perfectly. Many other Sharks wearing that jersey in that past would have **** themselves and butchered that hard

I think the only two flaws in his game last night were defensive ones:

(1) He made a wrong read on Johnston's try, came in on the wrong man and left an overlap.
(2) For McQueen's try from the Keary grubber, he didn't anticipate or turn quickly enough.

Other than that I did think he had a solid game.

Yep agree with that. Really bad read but otherwise a strong game

Put his hand up for a lot of tough runs last night - pitty Feki didn't do the same.

Beale ****s me with his hop, skip and jump before the line though, especially on a play 1 or 2 hitup. Its footy not ****en dance dance revolution dick head just run till someone stops you.

It's like he is going the "time warp" dance without the hands on the hips part, little jump to the left and back to the riggghhhttt.

In your head, rent free
gets him and extra meter or so with his run though

I have been ok with Beales performances, obviously we would like more tries but I think he is trying to redevelop his game to fit in with the new structures of the team

his hands in the lead up to gordons try and the val break last week were exceptional, he will gain confidence from this

Doesn't seem like a centre who is going to break open or lose a game. He does his job in linking it from right to left. Knows when to draw and knows when to give it up to give his winger a chance to finish himself. As mentioned before... More than we have had in a while.

Yeah the defense was sliding to cover the overlap so it was correct to pass asap rather than waste time trying to draw in the winger. That was a situation that a lot of crap centres would stuff up.

Wasn't really fussed on beale before we signed him tbh but he seems to be a fairly smart footballer with the little things like exactly when to give the ball to the winger that tend to get overlooked a bit.

no doubt he has good hands and passing in him along with some smarts but needs some early ball from Lewis and Co. to try and put something on

Don't think he has bagged a try yet which would be a lambasting for any of our other current or previous centres...

remains a ho-hum signing at this stage but at least he isn't a spaz

Hasn't set the world on fire yet but given some decent pill he will come good. He seems to be starved of ball on his side . Oh and his halfback is a bloke called Robson.

When given the chance he shows how classy he is.

Also showed his good line running near the end of the game when he pierced the gap and almost broke through for a try before dropping it.

Give the guy more space and more football all round and he'll set up and score plenty this year.
