Two quality people.

Controversial broadcaster Alan Jones might have some explaining to do to his listeners this week after comparing arrests at A-League games to the recent terrorism attacks in Paris.

The 74-year old shock-jock was hosting his breakfast show on 2GB when he made the remarks at the end of a segment with Rebecca Wilson, a News Corp journalist who published a story on Sunday identifying 198 people banned from A-League matches.

Jones, a former rugby league and rugby union coach, described the story as the A-League's "shame file".

The story provoked a significant online backlash against Wilson, who has drawn the ire of Western Sydney Wanderers fans in the past. She has been openly critical of the way the issue of fan violence has been handled by the FFA, claiming other sports do not have similar problems.

"The view from the FFA is we'll prove that we're doing something," Wilson said. "Some of the extent of their offences would make your eyes water and would seriously make you question whether or not you would ever go to any A-League game at all. What it shows is there's a much larger problem there and it's a cultural problem within the sport."

Jones then put the question to Wilson that put social media into meltdown right throughout Monday. "Is this like terrorism in Paris? The leaders have no guts?" he asked, to which Wilson replied: "That's exactly right, Alan."

Or Alan Jones? My old man listens to Jones. It's funny when we discuss politics, you can tell straight away where his thoughts come from.

This whole situation is just one of many instances that shows the ethics and morality of the Australian media is severely lacking. I try to get most of my info from forums like these.

Just read an article reminding us that Melbourne and Sydney have a tough choice to make for the ACL, which two of their imports to leave out of the ACL squad, a-league has 5 import limit, ACL only has 3.

For Sydney I would take:
Holosko (our best attacking weapon)
Faty (he is essential for our defence)

I can't decide between Nhinkov and Dimi for the last spot. I think Taveras will be one of the unlucky ones to miss out because O'Neill has proven he can do his job.

What do you guys think?

LOL, gotta love Arnie, says all week 'I'm giving the youngster a go this week, going to rest guys because of the Perth game, I'll have to make changes'

He then goes and names an unchanged lineup and an unchanged bench. Arnie's busting out the Jedi mind tricks.

Watching Sydney FC play feels like watching the Sharks.

Horrible to watch aren't they, granted they are my team but I don't follow them anywhere near as keenly as I do the Sharks but they are as boring as bat s#*t to watch with the ball, I get they have a good defensive record but geez I wish we based a bit more of our game plan on attack.

By playing that dour style if another team can somehow jag two goals we are in trouble.
