We gotta alert the Refs to this Storm tactic pre our game against em.. Tackled player walks off the mark with ball, (ensuring tackling player can't be marker), in behind tackled player at ptb. Dummy half scoots thru middle ducking behind who would have been marker ( and is up off grnd at the point back where ball should have been played. Several Storm variations noted on this theme last night. Common denominator -player walking off mark, with ball. Should've been pulled up by ref 1st time imho . Not sure if commentators called it.

Man this has been killing me this year. Its not just the storm. The one I've been noticing is the tackled player is facing their own goal line after tackle, they stand and sort of spin around the marker to be side by side instead of infront.

Coaches are shifty ****ers, they always find a way to exploit the rules which is fair enough. The NRL always so slow to notice though.

Yep just downright shifty,pull player in possession back to the mark, warn first up.. If not, penalty to defending team. If player in possession is on mark, Defender spins to marker but is to side, penalty to attacking team. Simples. Methinks this "speed up the game"ethos, is making the refs hesitate on this fundamental. Storm are blatant.

can’t honestly say I’m “heart broken”.
Disappointed for ARey, but not for the broncos and definitely not heart broken!

Especially when even the article, despite the headline, concedes that it's probably not a bad injury.

Yeh the current situation at play the ball is stupid.

Attacking player walks off mark - re play the ball.

Depending marker not square - penalty.

Needs to be the same infringement both ways. It's the only way you will clean it up.

Get their attention at half time, throw **** at them when walking down the tunnels

Storm also when tackling in numbers continually have someones hand on the ball and/or wedged between attackers body and ball to prevent quick play the balls
