Jumped the gun a bit there. I think if we steps up in origin/Australia and dominates that he’ll then go down as the greatest halfback of all time.
He’s certainly on track to make a good case for himself

Cleary is nowhere near the best in the world a this stage, he may like to think he already is winning 3 premierships & 2 Clive Churchill medals but he's got to stand up for NSW & Australia 1st aswell. He tends to only sit down for rep & be a bit lazy after Penrith.

Imo JT is easily the best in this generation at this stage, he played outstandingly for Cowboys during his era, he also blitzed it for QLD & Australia, representative football.

JT had a **** tonne more help to be fair. He played in probably the greatest QLD team of all time.

Imo mate there should be no best player in the world of all time, every generation & every position is different. The 80's-to early 21st century the players were so much tougher all over the field, these days they've got to be so much quicker & skilfull. I really think half these players these days couldn't play 80 at all back in that recent era, even the backline players. Some of these players these days go down like flies, the last generation just got straight back up & played on.
