i thoiught smith deserved the MOM award........he controlled the match so well with his kicking game + made a **** load of tackles + scored a great try

Gallen wasnt far behind him though

SBW was probly the best on the field but he was never gunna get it on a losing side.......i thought he really stodd up for NZ

Everytime Adam Blair made a hit up Gallen owned him. Really went looking for him. Could well be Gallen's new Patsy. I am looking forward to seeing Gallen and Bird vs Southern tonight, does everyone remember them going at it in last years game v the cowboys. Great stuff.

Yeah I vote Gal man of the match also. Shame Birdy didn't do more, however he was by no means a slouch.

Gallen was brilliant- and backed it up again tonight. I thought Smith was great also, plus Gasnier, Slater and Folou. Williams was the best on the field, but unlikely to get MOM when his team gets spanked.

I am biased, but I would have given MOM to Gallen.

I noticed the only thing Gould had to say about Gallen was how soft the NZ defense was when he scored his try- Gould, tool that he is, was listing about a dozen back rowers he thought should be in the side over Gallen, including Mark Minichiello. I don't know how his opinion can be taken seriously if he is going to be so anti-Sharks. Gallen is clearly one of the best few backrowers in the game- I would say it is a struck match most days between him and Bird, and Sonny-Bill. Gallen is also the toughest player in the game...

He backed up well V Cowboys, and at least the Fox commentators were saying how good Gallen was against NZ.

He was excellent last night and again tonight; you can tell how much he is out to make up for the lost time he spent on the sidelines while suspended.

What about both hookers Bort? Cameron Smith and Isaac Luke were two of the best players out there.
cam smith was good, but not stand out IMO, both kiwi hookers went well but missed out because they had to share the position

gallen is an absolute machine. 2 big matches in 2 nights wouldve been a big ask for anybody especially a bloke like him who does so much work. birdy wasnt as damaging as he usually is in both games but he wasnt bad. very proud of them 2

the thing i like about gallen and bird is league followers from other clubs talk about how good they are.

in 10 years time we're going to look back at these 2 and realise how lucky we were to see them play.

I agree Zakspiders. I may be a tad one eyed (a black, white and blue eye at that), but Gallen and Bird are IMHO the best two backrowers in the game, with maybe SBW close- SBW can pull out a freak play but maybe isn't as consistent.

I have never seen a pair of backrowers own a game like Bird and Gallen can, and it is the highlight of my week to sit back and watch those two play. Hopefully we can get the rest of the boys playing nearly as consistently and get Bird and Gallen a premiership- they deserve to be in the first premiership winning team.

and you still get the imbeciles who still continue to call them both grubs and are sh!t etc..that sh!ts me..

hope we keep hold on to them till they retire..

look back after there long gone from the game and remember how great they were..

only remember the back end of peach's career but i will certainly remember gallen and bird for years to come, getting to see them in there prime

I must agree chunk, SBW had his one big game for the year, he was the best on the park. Followed by Gallen I thought.

Gallen was enormous again on Saturday night too, thankfully Bird played better too, then he did Friday night. Would be hard to play outside Thurston as he is so dominate, but still I thought Bird was quiet.
