Matthew Wright @ Fullback

He is named there, officially, good under the high ball, hopefully he brings the ball back hard like Stapo and hopefully we see him in some space.

Its a bluff, if all goes well when the Sharks take on the NRL, Ike should be named there

It was Ricky who played Gards

Yea Ricky also said he will only be there for a few games to avoid burnout then back to the lower grades. Didn't really pan out that way as guess when Flanno took over he didn't see a viable replacement.

Gards as much as he adds to this team still looks underdone for 1st grade and tempting to blood someone else and see if they can become our new first choice FB but we also have to consider their development and our season as a whole. It's not an easy decision but I think conservative is how Flanno will go. E.g. Wright.

If fit my first choice would be Gordon, followed by Stapo. I also don't think Hotdog would be horrible in there.

I still wouldn't mind seeing this Prickard get a run. I think one game will give an indication if he is up to it and has potential to improve in a relatively short stint of FG or not. If he bombs (aka Kelly) then we try something else. Parra is the best opportunity we will get compared to other opponents to try new blood.

IMO Pickerd to fullback, Wright on the bench instead of Tagataese.

Taga played 10 minutes in a forwards dominated match against the Dragons. That's just a waste. We can get Wright to play a 10 minute mobile forward role off the bench instead of Taga with the added benefit of being able to hook Pickerd if he can't handle it, or cover Mills if his hammy plays up.

It's pointless having four forwards on the bench for this game. If we only used one for 10 minutes against the Dragons we definitely don't need that 10 against the Eels.

We have Eels, then Raiders, then Rabbitohs. There is no better time than this round to blood someone. If they work out it'll be invaluable as things get progressively tougher.

No i am not Flanno, i just don't think he is ready from what i have seen. If he is ready or even close why have we picked Wright and are looking at Burt??
Flano/Sharp are not dumb men all the time just my opinion.

I agree Pickerd isn't ready. I spoke to a coach at the club about who will play fullback today and he also said he wasn't ready for firsts yet. We have to bring someone from another club mid season. We can not go anywhere near the gf with matt wright or anyone else we have currently at the club outside of gardner.
