DeathMoth, your comment implied a connection between Inglis and Graham on playing style or ability and suggested Graham could play fullback.

Both calls are ridiculous and you have got exactly the kind of response you deserved. If you don't want responses like that stop asking stupid questions in stupid ways. Deal with it.

As for the fullback, there is no good choice and no obvious choice. Stapleton and Gordon are injured. Pickerd isn't ready. Wright is slow and unskilled in the position. Mills would be worth a shot but is coming back from injury so not the best time to throw him into that position. Hotdog would probably be my reluctant pick at this stage, or Pickerd just because there's a slight chance he'd hold his own and could play there for the rest of the year.

IMO, I don't expect to see Gardner again this year.

mills is terrible at fullback - he cannot catch !

unfortantely our back ups do not cut the mustard if we are to win the comp - we really need to sign a fullback in a hurry

For the record Luke burt would not come to the Sharks I feel our only chance is to get Mitch Brown on a 12month loan.

Wright struggles catching as well, so I dont see how he would be an effective option.

If we dont use Pickard, I would rather see Williams, with Mills to wing (Is Mills back this week?)

Nathan Massey scored three tries v the Vulcans. Good player. Omar Slaimankhel or Inu from the Warriors. All three fullback options that we could easily upgrade and tie up for the future and would actually add to the team on offence.

Mark Bastard and Burgess. i still stand by the fact that i didn't draw a comparison. it's no different from saying "i was listening to some Slayer today and i thought, **** yeh i should go have a shred on my guitar. while i was playing i wrote a mean blues riff." it draws no comparisons between Slayer and the blues. it merely states that the act of listening to Slayer inspired me to play some guitar which led to me writing a blues riff.

Similarly, i saw Inglis carving up at fullback. It made me think about our fullback situation. It was at this point that i wondered whether Graham could ever play fullback. I still haven't drawn a comparison between the two. I stated my reasons why i thought he may be suited to fullback at some point and you geniuses had a bunch of quite valid reasons why he wouldn't suit the fullback position. i wouldn't have asked a question if i already knew the answer, and i don't profess to know all about league, instead i prefer to just come in here and act like i do in order to start arguments with you jerks. so it's settled, the consensus is that he will never succeed in the fullback role and i agree because you guys backed it up with appropriate reasoning.

teflon - totally agree....also Kevin Naquama would do a decent job. Runs hard and fast and can catch. I'm worried about our current crop.

Matt Wright has much better hands than Kevin Naiqama, and I like Kevin Naiqama.

Yeah - pretty major injury to attempt to come back from in the same year. Even if he returns in round 23 or 24 he'll be in NSW Cup.

Agreed on all of the other stuff. As someone posted (Wilson I think) in the game thread, it seems Flanno will be going with Wright - which is not great but very understandable given that he is the only player we have on an NRL contract who is both fit and has some (albeit limited) NRL (2009) and NSW Cup (2011, 2012) experience in the position.

Ike Gordon is a better fullback then most names mentioned in this thread. I still believe he is a better fullback then Gards and i have a feeling Flanno thinks so as well.

I strongly disagree. He is the best women beater though.

I'd still be happier if he wasn't lining up in sharks colours

He was convicted of pushing a women into a wall. FFS get over it, The guy is our best chance of making the finals and to keep on winning games.

Flanno has had doubts over Gards since last years run, he isnt even that upset that we have lost him for the season. Gordon was always in Flannos mind as Gards back up if he started to play like **** again.

What Ike has done and owned up to and been punished for has no baring on his skill as a footballer. It should be banned from being talked about on this forum ever again, all it does is steer more **** that can be leaked to the media so STFU about it and move on.

im with jig on this one

while what he did was wrong, atleast he admitted it, got charged, paid the price and moved on with his life.

if the club, and that includes DI, flanno and gal, want him there, then i do as well.

his personal life has nothing to do with his football. nothing at all. and i think everyone who keeps bringing it up is a germ as well, no offense reid.

it just needs to be canned now.

Inu at FB would be wicked.... Burt at fb would be very solid for us. I'd be fine with us buying Burt for a season and a half and putting him on the wing next year if his form is up to it.

He is a rank average player, and less than average human being.
