I reckon Issac Gordon did a fantastic job deputising Gardner last year. I reckon we wont lose a lot if he gets picked there. Also Matty Wright reminds me a bit of Karmicheal Hunt when he plays fullback. Either one would be fine. Don't forget about Pickard as well in the 20's, a real good player. I think we'll be fine.

Nesiasi Mataitonga was injured yesterday in the NSW Cup match so that will put him out of the running, was looking good at fullback before getting injured

What about Leutele into the centres and colin best to fullback!! Good under the high ball, big, strong and his scoots always pick up a good 10m!

I'm a big fan of Best but when things go wrong for him they can go horribly wrong, I don't think it's a very good idea to give him extra pressure

It has to be Pickerd. His form and play reminds me of Gardner before he started. It is time to blood the local talent. Also, how would Mills go at fullback?

In your head, rent free
I dont see him wanting to spend the next 20 rounds in nsw cup while he is off contract.
Could hurt his chance of getting a uk contract.

I reckon Gordon. He won't come back match fit after an AC, yet think they need to settle on who would be there for the season.
Be better when Stapo returns along with Mills for more options.
Wright is not the answer back there.

How fast do you guys think Pickerd is? Don't know if he's got a mis-leading style like a young D Peachey, or just a bit slow.

Given Gordon, Stapo & Mills will be back soonish....

Now seems like the perfect opportunity to blood Pickerd,

1) We are on a role so this should reduce pressure
2) If he doesnt excel, then Stapo, Gordon or Mills can take over the reins in a week or 2
3) This bloods a junior for a short stint
4) It means keeping the team the same as it has been, with minimal disruption

Seems like a heap of reasons to give this guy a go....

Good idea.

Best is an excellent ball-runner and looked likely to break the line every time he had the ball last night.

Gardner has been busy with his footwork but has been easily contained by opposition defences this season.
