Busting the thread cherry here! Just like Pele today. Went well with limited minutes and was made a bit easier by having the upper hand in the game.

made 15 tackles @ 100%

so much for all the naysayers claiming his defense would be a liability in the top grade - had a feeling he would prove them wrong

coach was smart giving him small stints either side of half time

also 3 runs for 30m's = pretty handy average metres per carry

yes I relise the opposition wasn't brilliant but other more experienced players missed tackles and he can only play what's in front of him

don't think could have asked for much more in a debut game where all that was required was to keep it simple as the rest of the team had control of the game

100% Gards, That’s what we were asking for. Just short stint to give the young fella a taste.

A lot of those was him just flopping on or being third man in. Didn’t really see a lot of lateral movement and looked a bit lazy in the ruck. All those will come with experience, but there is a reason he only got the time he got.

And it was a good debut. Happy to hear his family and friends cheering him on. It seemed like a good atmosphere there. Pele should ask talakai about his training program. Both similar builds, but talakai’s output is crazy

Surprised he didn’t have a thread already.

Yeah he didn’t get too much time as we kinda figured he wouldn’t, but I thought he used his limited minutes well.

thanks for sharing.

would love him to become a 'shane webcke' type forward. that's who he aspires to be - that old school style.

iF Fitzy can support his fitness , lateral movement AND defence as a whole
We'll be on a winner
