Some time this week we are planning to upgrade the forum to vBulletin version 4, possibly as early as tomorrow night.
vB4 has been out for quite a while now, and though it was very buggy initially, I think it's now more than stable enough, and is worth moving to. It has several new features, but more importantly allows us to keep all our plugins up to date, and keep moving forward with our own new changes and features. In particular, it will allow us to provide a better front page to the site, blogs, news articles, image gallery etc.
I'm sure there'll be some issues, and some things to get used to. Some of the styles may take a while to adjust to, but hopefully you'll find them more elegant after a while. We'll definitely be listening to all feedback, and implementing any needed changes over the coming weeks.
Some plugins will be disabled for a while, until we can upgrade them to the latest versions. And the stats may not work immediately.
If there are any problems with the upgrade we'll let you know on Twitter @Sharks_Forever... also feel free to contact us there if you have problems posting after the upgrade for any reason.
