It's the games with the nightmare beginnings that ruin us. The ones where we (for example) drop the ball from the kick-off, then get a run of bad luck and then drop our heads. I don't blame teams for wanting to come out at us like an inferno.

We have to develop the confidence to weather the storm (no puns intended)

So maybe thats the game plan that shane needs to implement for sunday, a strong start backed up with strong meters and a good kicking game. Sounds simple but as we have seen this year, we dont always achieve that..

I hope Gal can play in his most efficient way possible, 230 meters, 45 tackles, hard, DIRECT running.

And hopefully no passes, no errors, no kicks in play.

Thats where he becomes our own worst enemy when he does too much, he can run the ball as much as he wants, tackle as much as he wants, but running plays he should be nowhere near. Leave the control to Robson and Carney and Degois. Gallen, head for the try line. This year he was way more effective when he was the workhorse, doing as much as he could, as a lock, not a half back. So many times over the last few years he is guilty of trying to over play his role. All players should be striving for numbers like his, maybe not the meters or tackles, but the effort. Remember when he was injured guys like Gibbs and Fifita tookthe bull by the horns and Gibbs was making massive numbers.

45 tackles is a bit steep to pair with 230 metres for Gal I reckon. Would be his best game all year.

well nows the time to have his best game of the year. Why should origin be his best efforts? He had a fair spell, his body should be feeling fresh

Gallen really needs to lead the way on Sunday, drive the troops to stay positive the whole game and really put the pressure on Canberra to make mistakes

He's definitely due for a break out game for the Sharks. There will be an absolute freak performance at some stage.

Now tuck them back into your Ruggers, too much on display FlyEyes!

Hopefully Todd does have a blinder if he does IMO we win. For him to have a blinder one would think our forwards would be winning the battle and it would result in points on the board here's to Todd having his best game so far in our colours.

Im really expecting him to, he always plays well against former clubs .... except last time he played canberra... what a shocker! (granted he was injured)

Geez deano,

You don't sound to good, better go and see your doctor and get a doctors note for the weekend.

I have the same feeling but with Robbo.

I've only felt like he would have a blinder twice this year before (Raiders first game and Rabbitohs) so hopefully it's a lucky charm.

Carn Cronulla!

I'd love to be flying down from the Gold Coast for this one but $300+ one way, hmmmm can't do it. But I will be screaming at the TV in my lounge room, you'll probably hear me all the way down in Canberra.
