Disappointed to see no Nathan Gardner in that squad, we need his X Factor. Even is he came off the bench in replace of Morris
So de gois plays 80 or you want Gardner in hooker?

I'd prefer Frizell there. He played centre in rugby. Even his Sharks player profile lists him as Centre/Second Row.
"If we get through this weekend, if we win this weekend, we are in exactly the same position as Canterbury, it is cut-throat, if you lose you are out. It's only week one you get a chance, we get though this week we are where we could have been."
Bukuya played centre as a youngster too. My reasoning was that he's been playing on that side of the field all year, he knows the defensive patterns and he's reasonably experienced at NRL level.
Don't think Flanno understands the finals system.

Agreeing with what slide said, you have to do some sort of video/ tactical work on what the opposition is going to throw at you, who their danger players are, what they do as well as their weak players and how to capitalise on their deficiencies.
It's not rocket science the players can handle the info.
Why does it have to be one or the other?
All teams will focus on the opposition as well as themselves.
To suggest they only do one of the two is bordering on ludicrous.
You just proved my point.
It's easy to bitch about them but like it or not they're the best we have available.
1. Wright
2. Williams
3. Best
4. Leutele (assuming Poms is suspended)
5. Stapleton
That's the best backline we can use on Sunday.
Or would you prefer
1. Gardner (Just returning from injury, no idea what form he will be in)
2. Mills (Same as Gardner)
3. Best
4. Leutele/Pomeroy
5. Gordon (Play good one week, sucks for the next 5)
well if they had a brain in their head they should, they're all different players, what planet are you from?
good teams worry about themselves and their own performance not other teams and their roster..obvioulsy looking at our roster we have no 'game breakers' to bring in so i bet Furner couldnt give a dam about who we put it... your comment is stupid!!
i totally agree- we made the 8 and its open season on our coach and players..makes no sense!
Going out there and doing the job encompasses playing to a game plan, which would be derived partly based on the oppositions strengths and weaknesses.
They intend to go out there and do that.
It doesn't imply that they won't be basing the game plan partly on what the opposition does.
so you should go ask Gal since he is the captain and gave the quote...
however since when did i say one or the other...?? i used the word focus.. big difference!
What about all the dribblers on here bagging Flanno for picking an extended squad.
Go check all the other line ups boys.
I'm pretty sure besides the Broncos, everybody has picked 18-20 players.
Some of you guys just whinge about everything.
I was refering to flanno doing this all year. We're also usually the last team to submit a team sheet Tuesday arvo.
It makes me think he's indecisive.

that quote is nothing. it's the classic footy player talking to the media. "we do our job. the boys. our job. the boys. opponents are a good side, we have to focus on our game. the boys." etc.
Last or second last, my point is that I don't think flanno is very decisive.Have we ever been the last team this year?
I don't think so.
It's normally the Tigers.
