For Manly to get into the 8 they need St George to lose to the Tigers and also make up what is currently 61 points in for and against.

If Saints lose, Manly will know how many they need to beat us by and it could be something ridiculous like 50 points. They'll have to play some risky footy so I hope it's raining.

Broncos and roosters will both win this week as they are pushing to win the minor premiership meaning storm and Souths can't catch us. That should put us either 4th if we beat manly or 5th if we lose and dogs beat warriors

I am happy with playing roosters (1 v 4) or St George (5 v 8) first week as i think we will win either of those just means if we played the roosters and win we go straight to a home preliminary final

I tend to agree. It is in the team's hands to take fourth, and to win the big gig we really ought to be able to take Manly. We shouldn't be focusing on who beats who.

There's not really much difference between finishing first and second so I wouldn't be surprised if both teams rested a player or two. For example, I would rest Hodges.
