If we play a non Sydney team we should have the option of taking it to Toyota. It is no worse than Canberra or Townsville and they'd hardly sell out either.

Wont happen Grozzy even though it would be close to a sell out, 18000 in a Sharks stadium is a better look on TV plus the atmosphere than 23000 in a 40000 capacity stadium.

Raiders looked good last night (or did the Bulldogs just look really bad?)

I remember Todd Carney saying on the Footy Show that he didn't want to play them in the finals

When they are on they look good but Dogs were ordinary last night plus the Raiders were pretty much piggy backed up the field or out of the own end with a penalty more often than not in the first half last night, I don't fear us playing them, remember the last time we played them we had a heap of guys who were either not playing or playing injured.

Go the sharks

Wish it was at shark park. That game that sold out this year against the dragons I think was awesome. Up the sharks!

It's way too early to plan any sort of trip, I'm afraid.

We could finish anywhere from 4th-8th, depending on results.

Plus the actual order is flexible this year.

So our game could be Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Only teams 1 to 4 play Friday & Sunday? 5th vs 8th Sat 7.30pm & 6th vs 7th Sat 5.30pm ? Something like that i believe.

We will be playing the Saturday. Where, that will depend where we finish, we finish 5th or 6th, it'll be played in Sydney.

Sat 6v7 2v3

But I'm sure they've said days are flexable this year

Just on the finals series, is Channel 9 delaying their Sunday game? Would be a huge joke 1 vs 4 on delay!

Well I'll admit I was wrong.

In today's paper it's got:

Fri 1v4
Sat 5v8 6v7
Sun 2v3

I suppose the Rugby League world has changed since 96.

Back then Friday Night Footy wasn't necessarily the match of the round. Now its Channel 9 number 1 pick.

That's why they've gone for 1v4 in that slot.

It's got me thinking too.

All the back slapping that went on by the Commission after they ditched the McIntyre system might have just been Bull****.

I'm starting to think that Channel 9 might have been the ones that made that call.

Under the McIntyre system the matches had to played in the order they were, other wise some matches would be meaningless.

That gave 9 no flexibility to choose what games were played in which time slots.

Under this top 8, 9 can have the matches whenever they want them.

And that is, imo, why the McIntyre system was ditched.

Another example of who is really running the game!

I disagree My Ryan. The majority of fans and club execs wanted this finals system over the McIntyre system. Who knows, maybe channel 9 prefer this too but I don't think it's the reason it was changed.

Looks likely we'll play on Saturday night. I really hope we get SFS and not Homebush, it's the most sterile, lifeless ground I've been to.

Will definitely be Sat night.

I hope its the SFS too. I love that ground.

If its against the Raiders, it will be.

Not definitely. Still a slim chance we can finish top 4 if Souths lose their two remaining games.

I think I have this right,

we win one game out of the last two rounds & we finish 6th & play a final in Sydney

we win both of our last two games & we finish 5th & play a final in Sydney

we lose both of our remaining games & finish either 7th or could still jag 6th spot?
