I do this as well. Although I try to get some good fantasy guys as well (like I always try and get Troy Murphy).

murphy is stud on espn manager.
that game is easy though, as you get a salary cap like the nrl ones, and once your **** players make you $$$ you sell them off and get lebron

Crossing my fingers that Yahoo gives me either the #1, #7 or the #8 pick. Not really interested in everything in between.

With the draft if you get it flips order after every round.. So in round 2 8 becomes the first pick

so for example, if i get first pick in round 1, i get pick 8 in round 2?

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
then
8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
then back to the start and that keeps going till the end.

With only 8 teams I don't think there is much difference in where you land. I'd suggest that Pick 8 might be worth more than pick 1 though given how small the league is.
