At least you didn’t concede as many as Bournemouth LOL. Honestly United probably should of had 1 or 2 more. Amazing how one signing can turn a team around like Fernandes has done with United. Pogba looks motivated as well.

Utd are on fire mate, must be enjoyable for you to watch again. Bruno and pogba in the mids makes a huge difference and Martial, Rashford and Greenwood up front are super exciting. Greenwood is a special, special talent. He should go right to the top.

Very much so. Still some concerns defensively and depth wise. But Bruno and Pogba in the midfield is hot fire. But the drop off is huge when Bruno, Pogba and any of the front three go off, so depth is needed next season. Even with Greenwood playing the way it is, I still hope they go after Sancho. Hoping for another defender as well but the rumoured transfer budget isn’t overly encouraging, so that might not be a priority.

the most amount of points city can reach is 81

liverpool had 82 when the premierleague went into lockdown

I’m looking around the league next year and I honestly can’t see anyone to stop Liverpool from going back to back.

City are a fading force, especially with European ban hanging over their heads. In saying that, if they stay in Europe and can fix up their defence, (signing Koulibaly) they’ll get closer and probably Liverpool’s only proper challengers again.
Chelsea and Man United are rebuilding, although both will be much better next year, just not quite at Liverpool’s level.....yet.
Leicester are solid but simply don’t have the talent to get closer. 3rd was always a best case scenario for them and they’re hanging onto that by a thread.
Spurs and Arsenal NEED a rebuild.
A wildcard like Wolves could turn some heads, but again, won’t be at the level of Liverpool.

It could be a case of if it rains, it pours at Anfield.

without sounding like a smug **** - i agree

city's side on paper is absolutely incredible - but check this, they have lost 9 out of 33 league games, liverpool have lost 9 of their last 120 league games

whilst city have a remarkable side close to a billion, liverpool get players punching above their weight and improving

you only need to go to sky sports and read the fan comments when we signed robbo, vvd, salah and mane to find out what rivals thought of these signings

arsenal are a mess and wont be a force for 5 years, spurs are going backwards, united are moving and will spend big which is scary - chelsea are racists - not bad at football either

i think if liverpool are smart and the signings they are trying to make come off they will be top 2 for a few years

Also got to wonder how much of that billion dollar squad will stick around if City are booted from Europe.

Regarding United. Fernandes and a motivated and happy Pogba in that midfield is scary providing they’ve got the right 6 behind them, Matic is old but playing exceptionally well. That midfield has helped the front three shine. It’s no secret why they’ve been arguably the in form team since lockdown ended. United’s biggest Grand Canyon sized issue is their depth. First 11 is good, behind that, apart from Williams, Fred, McTominay, Ighalo and James, it’s utter piss. Bruno goes off, who come on at 10? Lingard or Perreria. ****ing hell.

So United won’t challenge Liverpool for next year at the very least, but they’re heading in the right direction for now. Still want a DoF though to take over from Woodward.

Leicester drop more points. Down to 4th. That 4th place finish could actually come down to Leicester vs Man United on the final day.

United also became the first team in Premier League history to win 4 games in a row by 3 or more goals. That’s a baffling stat, I can’t believe that hadn’t been done.

Greenwood is something special.

Pickford is current incumbent but the only thing he does better than Pope is distribute the ball with feet - which is becoming more important to a lot of coaches these days with the 'build from the back' mantra and 'sweeper-keepers' who are comfortable on the ball.
When it comes to international comps. which are knockout formulas and the margins are so fine, I know what I'd want from my keeper though. And at that, Pope is considerably better. :good:
