the transfers that happen before the world cup are very smart and astute

for instance: say arsenal wanted to sign sanchez from barca, but barca hold out until after the world cup

sanchez runs riot, knocks holland out of the group stages and has a bliding worldcup, barca then dictate the terms of any potential deal

likewise, if he has a **** world cup, maybe they should have cashed in on him

thats why some teams are being out priced before the world cup, clubs running the risk of their big names firing

the main thing is I really don't want the **** head Mourinho to get Cesc, if we don't get him I wouldn't mind him going overseas but unfortunately I cant see that happening, it will either be us or Chelsea

Your right there aswell suppose, if a player has a great WC then heaps of clubs would go bidding & a bidding war would happen but most likely that current club mighnt let them leave, other hand if the player wants to leave like Griezmann from Sociedad & he has a bad WC then he might come cheaply who knows, he is another one on Wengers list I heard

I will give credit to Everton & Martinez this year Everton, Martinez has taken you guys up a notch in the past season, they were a threat to the Gunners for 4th place this year haha, I was a bit concerned for a while :p You guys are a step above Tottenham now hahaha

Till we get the investment needed to challenge that's probably as high as we can realistically go.

Basically all you guys need now then is a good or rich owner that will be willing to give more funds out for transfers

Looks like West Brom are going to appoint Tim Sherwood this week. He's on a shortlist of six but none of the others are being mentioned so he must be the one.
Not sure whether he is going to be any good. With a mid table team he might go alright.
