So, I love Chelsea as much as anyone but...

...I never ever ever feel comfortable when Frank Lampard steps up to take a penalty. Although he has a fantastic conversion rate, I don't particularly like skidders. I like Gerrard-Barry-Rooney like power hitter who hit it hard. Will be interesting to see who takes the penalties for England at the WC. I'd pick Gerrard.

Oh and woohoo at doing the double! :D

Man city actually have a good crack at winning next year. Bring over some more experienced & elite defenders and they are there.

Yeah, Was a good game to watch. I was really digging for Pompey. Too bad they cannot take penalties either.

With out a doubt it has to be Gerrard who takes penalties at the WC.

I agree with you 100% I stated this earlier in the forum. If they seal the signatures of a few elite defenders (They have the money for it) They will be my favourite for the title next year.

[did you know that manchester united was formed in manchester and city was formed outside of manchester and not the other way around like they have you believe]

Yeh my oppinion is he will leave but come on, signing for a club for 30 milliojn which is less then what hes on now and at best he will just be a benchwarmer with Xavi, Iniesta, Toure and Messi all ahead of him in the midfield, why would u want that

All this means I just bought my Fabregas jersey for nothing now lol

All but gone mate. Strong, strong rumours that Cesc and Villa will be signed and delivered to barca soon.

Official, Villa to barca.

Barca agree Villa move with Valencia

FC Barcelona and Valencia CF closed a 40 million euro deal for Spanish striker David Villa on Wednesday morning.

The Spanish international is due in Barcelona on Thursday evening and will have a medical on Friday morning. Villa will sign a four-year deal with an option for a further year.

Villa will be officially unveiled as a Barca player at 1.30 in the Paris Room of the Camp Nou. He’ll then make an appearance on the Camp Nou pitch. The stadium doors will be opened to the public.

A goal machine

In his first two seasons in the First Division (2003-05) with Zaragoza, he caught the eye with his effectiveness in front of goal and earned a move to Valencia. The 28-year-old spent the next five seasons with Valencia, scoring 107 goals in 166 league matches.

Villa is a regular first choice in the Spanish national team and made a huge contribution to winning EURO 2008.

Oh, crap! When was that made official? I feel out of the loop now, embarrassing!

Anyone (Panda and El coco mainly) hear about the rumoured Chelsea offer for Torres... 130 mil worth of players and coin. Apparently Chelsea are going to offer 3 players and 80 Mil (Pounds) for Torres. Anelka being one of the players.

Dont listen to any rumours about Rafa/Torres/Gerrard/Masch going to City/Chelsea/Barca.
