I doubt it very much unless they are trying to get him for 2011.

Daniel Anderson has just signed and they have made some big purchases, Notwithstanding the P'mtta Board are right behind Anderson inclusive of older players like Sterlo.

I think this year EVERYONE has been frustrated at the Sharks. The spotlight is on Ricky next year as a credible coach. This year he had a roster that could have won the G. Final.

He's now got a young side that has his imprint as a coach. He is in the position of CREATING good players out of inexperienced young guns and not buying STAR players like this year who let him down. The lesson from this year is that you can't change the behavior of older players unless they want to change. Truly they have let down Ricky both as players and as friends. Reni, Seymour & Bird ALL chose their fate.

Ricky's reputation as a coach will really hang on what he does next year with the Sharks!! Until then I doubt he will be the HOT property people are making rumours about and they will all be convinced that Ricky inherited a G Final side at Easts not actually created one.

Well said, next year make or break and should rightfully determine any future coaching contracts!

If Sharks get a new coach we can kiss next decade goodbye too.

Ricky is by far our best prospect, there is no way in hell we would be better off going back to the drawing board. We need a consistent team and coach for a few years and then we'll get the premiership.

John Lang leaving was a big mistake but bringing him back now would be an even bigger mistake!

Why?

He is an experienced coach with a proven record.

I dont want to punt Ricky, but if he decides to walk then I think John Lang would be a great option (if he wants to be a full time coach).

Is he on the market?

If Ricky goes, the logical choice is the return of J.L.

HEEEEEERE'S JOHNNY!!!!!!!! :cheers

sorry, i meant to say in the league.

if he is on the market, would be the only one i would replace sticky with.

Stick with Sticky... he is the best coach in the comp and he will get us a premiership. Players want to play for him that is always a great sign !!!

Don't mean to be a downer but i disagree. Obviously we'b be a shot but i think we have to give it a big push next year. Barrett will likely retire at the end of 2010 meaning 2011 will be another rebuilding year.

Fittler would be the ideal choice

1- he has game plans which are easily followed

2- he is capable of getting teams up on game day

3- He relaxes while coaching and trys not to stress his team when in training

he has been unluckily dumped from the roosters, and replaced by b smith from the knights.

Disagree, Roosters have barely put in a full committed 80 mins this year and have been by far the worst team. Unless you meant "get them up" sexually by running around hotels half naked...
