I think McInnes, kaufusi, Hunt and Hazelton is prob a touch big. And Willams instead of Hunt or Hazelton adds something a bit different if available. I do think though that we should have two props on the bench. One worker and one for impact.Which one have you assigned as the big prop and which is the mobile prop? I assume McInnes is the lock
I'd look at
8 BHU // Hunt // Kaufusi // Hazleton // Finucane // Williams // Colquhoun //
10 Rudolf // Kaufusi // Finucane // Williams // Colquhoun //
13 Finucane // McInnes // Graham // Williams // Colquhoun
Those are roughly how I see the three middle 'roles' and depth. Playing 7 of these 10 per game (ideally at least two from each spot, more inclined to have depth at 8 as this role would play shorter higher impact minutes ideally).
If someone is out injured they are replaced from their depth chart, which obviously cross over a lot the deeper you go. Kaufusi is ahead of Hazleton in 8 jersey just because I'm not sure we'd start Hazleton just yet.
So at the moment I'm thinking my best 17 is
BHU Rudolf Finucane
McInnes Kaufusi Hunt Hazelton
18th man Graham/Williams
Williams only played 15 minutes and Souths had the ball almost the whole time.I didn't notice at the time, but did you spot our forwards linking with the short passes against Souths?
Based on how we do without him on the field it feels like we need more from someone else... Who is the leader when he's off?Need more from this bloke this week. Especially with him being captain.
his runs seem to lack real punch, defence is not a problemThought he was pretty solid, we were definitely weaker when he was off the field. Want him playing more mins
Agree , plus same with Kafusihis runs seem to lack real punch, defence is not a problem
Potentially.I think McInnes, kaufusi, Hunt and Hazelton is prob a touch big. And Willams instead of Hunt or Hazelton adds something a bit different if available. I do think though that we should have two props on the bench. One worker and one for impact.
Why?Finucane and McInnes need to be on the field at the same time for at least 30 minutes.
Bring the intensity and energyWhy?
I love the concept but it is appears pretty hard to juggle both on at same for more than around 15-20 as it pushes Finucane into prop rotation which is already taken up by 4 players, and you can't really do it at first interchange (for more than 5 minutes or so) as Finucane has already played around 20 at that point, and he's probably not up for 50+ straight regularly anymore.Bring the intensity and energy
Think they'll compliment one another and bring the rest of the team up to their level
Or you can start McInnes at 9I love the concept but it is appears pretty hard to juggle both on at same for more than around 15-20 as it pushes Finucane into prop rotation which is already taken up by 4 players, and you can't really do it at first interchange (for more than 5 minutes or so) as Finucane has already played around 20 at that point, and he's probably not up for 50+ straight regularly anymore.
You don't want to keep McInnes off until Finucane's second stint either, so by virtue of one starting on and one starting off they get kind of hard to match up for 30 minutes.
Other option of course would be just to start Finucane at prop and McInnes at 13 but I kind of like the legspeed element McInnes brings off the bench.
Well, Wade is back against the Roosters. Have to put him in the 13 I would think. Unless it's McInnes and Wade on the bench.Facing 3-4 week ban
Imagine we finally see Wade at 13 and he kills it. Has he ever played lock for us?Well, Wade is back against the Roosters. Have to put him in the 13 I would think. Unless it's McInnes and Wade on the bench.
Despite his **** form, does Wade at least have more of that "call to arms" cry that is needed at the moment?
He's been building towards it his entire careerImagine we finally see Wade at 13 and he kills it. Has he ever played lock for us?
