yes looking back I think we all take his comment as a nice way of saying Murphy wasn't up to first grade and Flanno was probably justified in the end seeing how Murphy's career has panned out but I just found it humorous in light of him saying Chad isn't a big talker

he also said we were passionate fans - nice way of saying drunk scrubs and a pain in the ass **** off!

Yep it's great, I've had exactly that from a mate who was dead keen on him!

Thing is, if we're truly paying $2.1m like Riccio said, it averages out at 525k p.a. That's a great deal.

Isn’t it amazing a player all of the sudden goes from top notch to absolute dog**** with all these glaring weaknesses when he knocks your club back in favour of somewhere else hey? To be fair, it happens on this forum too.

Payton needs to worry about keeping his job and even getting close to lasting the 6 yrs. He needs to squeeze every minute he can out of him.

Yep but if he doesn't think JT13 will be able to give his best for a full 80 regularly it is an interesting conundrum when to play him.
Have been games that start slipping away when he comes off (both through him being off but also just through more time passing) and commentators like to carry on about you've got to get him back out there before the game is out of reach but not taking into account managing his workload and interchanges. When he signed for the big money most 13s were playing effectively as a prop and that's not really the case now either, plus middle fatigue is enhanced.

But by putting a million dollars of their cap into him they have created the situation where the rest of their forward pack (especially outside starters) is noticeably weaker.
ie if he is on 1million and subs off for a guy worth 180k is a very big difference compared to if he was on 850k and subbed for a guy worth 330k, who would probably help the team hang in there until JT13 was back a lot better.
