Think we might get 6 Tracey 7 Johnson
I'd be inclined to re-drop Nikora even with Graham out, but don't think Morris will
Talakai starts for Graham and Fifi comes onto bench. Assume Williams or Trindall will be the extra bench jersey, happy for either.

Who comes in for Graham?

I'm hoping Bomber gives Trindall another crack as he was a bit lost with Chad 'mentoring' him.

Reckon you're right. Have been looking forward to seeing Tracey get a full game with one of our starting halves, I think he'll do well.

Warriors 38-10.

Not sure it is one halfs job to be mentoring (or 'mentoring') the other half too much in an NRL game (where our whole team was sucking). Think we probably want Trindall to be able to have the role fairly under control himself and not have someone who plays the other side of the field have to be responsible for him.

Thinking the vast majority of any mentoring is probably being done on the training paddock.

Thought the same thing as I was typing it. It's a real 'nothing' timeslot.

Nothing better than we deserve atm.

It's going to create some kids bedtime issue here though...!!

I think Trindall and Johnson complement each other better than Tracey and Johnson.

If Chad hadn't had the brain explosion and Johnson wasn't available I'd rather partner him with Tracey.

Organiser/running creative.

That's the theory, though I'm sure Johnson can play both roles.

I agree. I think Trindall/ Johnson works better because Trindall just has to do all the basics right, knowing the big plays are coming from the more experienced half. Not the case when he partners Chad. And Trindall is just better than Tracey who has been flattered by coming on late and scoring tries against Turing opposition.

Re Wade I think we should play Sorensen in his position. He’s done it before and he is defensively sound on that side. It’s the least disruptive. And Fifita should start this game for BHU who needs to know he was average last as was Toby. I’d have a bench of BHU, Toby, Talakai and Tracey. The starting side is obvious from there, but I’d possibly drop Mulitalo for Nene.

Last week was so woeful, Morris has to let those players know. I leave Trindall out of this because he’s so green and halves performances are so dependent on the pack.

Possibly, if we want to run our 4th choice winger.
Not for me thanks. Ronnie is personally responsible for probably a quarter at most of the overlaps issues, shooting in on the unmarked centre rather than just letting them stroll through is the best move. It forces the harder pass to the winger to score (unfortunately at NRL level it's not that hard a pass).
The issue is the centre needing to be shot in on in the first place, which comes from other players not sliding or not feeling like they can slide due to defensive deficiencies further in field.
Virtually every week we get scored on by the exact same play and it is Ronnie (or Katoa) who looks bad but the play is designed to do that.

I know you wrote 'possibly' but Nene has had one ****house game for us. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard for him to get ahead of Goodwin in the 21 and yet he hasn't so far, so I wouldn't be dropping a starter for him.

Also thought Toby held his own decent last week, other than him and Wade's dumb tackle.
Fifi was too low impact last game he played to be considered to start, I don't mind benching BHU, just don't love the options we have to start in his place, but I'd pick Toby or Hunt ahead of Fifi atm

Yeah Nene was just an idea, not a good one. I just think it’s crucial with a young side that we drop players who aren’t performing. Morris has largely done that and I think it’s largely worked, but this side isn’t a done deal yet, so we need to maintain the pressure.

Toby might actually be tired. The guy goes hard and it is his first year. I’d bench him as much for that as anything else, and Williams has improved since they haven’t been starting him.

It occurred to me today that we may have the least NRL games in our top 30 of the entire comp. We’d go close. We’ve got to get all those guys up to the right level.

JMo knows the younger players like the back of his hand. He should have a decent understanding of their personalities and which ones would benefit from demotion and which would benefit from a show of confidence.

He's got them this far and they obviously believe in him.

I’d go with this

1. Kennedy
2. Ronaldo
3. Dugan
4. Ramien
5. Katoa
6. Johnson (Vc)
7. Trindall
8. Uele
9. Brailey
10. Woods
11. Nikora
12. Talakai
13. Williams

14. Frudolph
15. Hunt
16. Fifita (C)
17. Tracey

18. Sorrenson
19. Ferris

If Katoa is injured, Dugan to wing Ferris to centre.

More chance our tired forwards in the middle catching a fly in between chop sticks than being able to bring RTS to ground. I so much want to win this one, like a true sharks fan early in the week I can’t see it, by kickoff I won’t be able to fathom how we won’t win by 40.

I think it will be 6 Tracey 7 SJ ( Tricky on stand by ).
Wilton will be very much in the mix as well.

I'd start with Talekei disabling RTS, so dislocating his hip or worse. Then move on to other parts of the game plan.

the warriors will be highly motivated, more than us sadly and we need to bring an 'A' game.
warriors have the ability to knock over raider or manly when you don't expect it.
we need to find the hunger again and needs to be THIS week.

need major improvement from last weeks defensive efforts; and leave the brain explosions/poor decisions at the gate;

often JMo has spoken of a good solid start; yet to see something like that. need that this week to put us in the 8, then see what happens.

i thought SJ was also in doubt this week??? thought it would be trindall/tracey combo again.
