What a pathetic effort that was. Struggled to watch to the end.

We'll probably limp into the finals but there's really no point.

I’m pretty sure Newcastle was as wrecked with as many injuries as the Cowboys ?

Got a volume of injuries but for me personally, bottom 4 side missing JT and losing their main half early in game is going to be much weaker than top 8 side missing a few decent players. Equivalent would be like, give them back D Saifiti and Blake Green but Ponga isn't there and Pearce goes off early... basically Cows were a worse side, more disrupted

Don't worry, there'll be another strong performance before the finals, just to get our hopes up before they are dashed.

Gotta beat Warriors for that.
Maybe get some finals experience would be a good thing , with NO expectations

I thought Newcastle were supposed to be Hot garbage :lmao

We’re hot garbage - without SJ we would be 12th . As a team for the past 2 years we haven’t developed a bit. Attitude and fitness levels in game are horrendous, hate being in a fight, defensive structures and arm grabs the worst we’ve seen in a while, always a quiet group after opposition tries.

Take the rose coloured glasses off - flat track bullies

Best we can do now is 8th which means playing a very good team you would think.

Will likely be a flogging with the way we defend.

Yep. All thr banging on about our forwards but no one ever mentions their defence. It's horrendous.

Easiest draw on the comp and we're a chance of missing the 8.

If anyone is suspended for the lifting tackle it should be Wade, not Toby.

Agree. Blocker was saying that Toby went on with it and tried to smash the player through the turf. Blocker should have just gone home and had his pavlova.

Warriors deserve 8th not us. They have 1000 more excuses then us to flop but still hanging in there.

Newcastle’s forwards owned us tonight. That’s where it started. That had nothing to do with injuries.

Then there’s Ponga. He’s just light years ahead of our best players at the moment and tore us apart at will.

Throw in a kick out on the full to start the game on the right note, stack of errors and an inferiority complex and we never looked like getting into the game.

Pretty sad considering I don't rate most of their pack. We didn't start to match them until the bench came on. Sorensen wasn't tragically bad but Fifita needs to be there before him.

This will be unpopular but I wonder if our centres are a bit slow for the modern game?

The new breed like Staggs, Best, Lomax and Crichton are electrifying and create from nothing.

Our centres are strong as but is that enough?

When ramien is fed good ball haa some of the best footwork and line running of any centre.

As for Dugan I'd be on the side of looking for a replacement. Solid and tries his heart out but the game has moved past him

You might be onto something. Could use their strength as a plus and get them into the game more but we don’t.

Their work ethic is abit questionable more then anything, seems like they just stick on their own side and take their occasional tick the box hit up
