I hope they have carefully considered how much time this could take up, given how quickly the ticket was put together. It's not a good sign that Dunphy (who was originally one of the main draw cards) dropped off.
From a corporate governance point of view, the failure to comply with the constitution is a concern. The fact that they couldn't get a ticket together of people with appropriate membership is a concern. The fact that they didn't even seem to realise that they didn't qualify is a concern. The fact that it was dismissed by some as just a "dirty tactic" and a "technicality" is a concern. The fact that they decided to tack Sorenson on at the last minute is a concerrn.
I'll be judging them on their primarily on their financial management.
It might take them a while to get up to speed with everything that is going on. Particularly considering that the Football Manager and CEO are both new to their roles too. I really would have liked at least a couple of the vision people to get on for continuity.
But, I'm hoping they'll do a decent job once they have a bit of time to settle in to the role.
